Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to inform you that we had our practical lesson today in school, and it was on the preparation of chinchin, a popular snack made from simple ingredients like flour, sugar, butter, milk, and a few spices. During the practical, the pupils learned how to properly mix the ingredients, knead the dough, roll it out, cut it into small shapes, and fry it safely under supervision.
The aim of this practical was to help the learners develop basic cooking skills, understand hygiene in food preparation, and learn how everyday snacks are made from scratch. It also helped them practice teamwork, patience, and following instructions carefully.
The pupils were very excited and actively involved throughout the process. They were happy to participate and enjoyed seeing how the ingredients turned into the final crunchy snack. It was both an educational and enjoyable experience for them.
We appreciate your continued support in your child’s learning journey.
Kind regards,

Little minds learn best when they can see, touch, and explore. Using real-life items as teaching aids in the EYFS classroom turns every lesson into a meaningful experience. Instead of just talking about objects, children interact with them—making learning natural, exciting, and easier to understand.

Why it matters:

✨ Better Understanding
When children handle real objects, concepts become clear and relatable. A real apple teaches more than just a picture ever could 🍎

✨ Stronger Memory
Hands-on experiences stick! Children are more likely to remember what they’ve touched, seen, and explored themselves 🧠

✨ Boosts Curiosity & Engagement
Real-life items spark questions and excitement. Learning becomes playful, and children stay fully involved 🎉

Bringing the real world into your classroom builds confident, curious learners who connect learning to everyday life. And that’s where true understanding begins

🍎✨

We use Jolly Phonics for slower learners and also for faster once. If introduced gradually, even 5-year-olds can learn to read effectively—you just need to trust the process.

As we prepare to celebrate our Heritage Day today,we would like to highlight the importance of our cultural heritage and why it is celebrated worldwide.

Heritage represents the traditions, values, language, food, dressing, and way of life passed down from one generation to another. Celebrating it helps us remember who we are and where we come from.

Heritage is celebrated around the world to promote unity in diversity, encourage respect for different cultures, and preserve traditions that might fade away over time. It also gives children the opportunity to learn about their roots and appreciate the beauty of other cultures.

Identifying with our culture has many advantages. It builds a strong sense of identity and pride, helps children develop confidence, and teaches respect for others. It also keeps our traditions alive and strengthens the bond within families and communities.

We encourage all our parents to support their children in embracing and celebrating their cultural heritage.

Thank you and God bless.
