9 YEARS OF LHS COLLEGE, OTA.
What started with just two learners has grown into a thriving school community and the journey has been remarkable.
Being part of this journey has shown that building a great school is not a one-time achievement.
It is the daily commitment to becoming better.
Our learners have recorded multiple A’s, B’s and C’s in WAEC, multiple 300+ JAMB scores, including a recent 343, and admissions into tertiary institutions across Nigeria, the UK, USA and Canada.
But beyond grades, we want our learners to understand, think, communicate, create and solve problems.
That is why we continue to strengthen our assessment culture, reading programmes, academic competitions, JETS, STEM, remedial support and other learning initiatives.
AT LHS SCHOOLS, LEARNING DOESN’T STOP WHEN THE BELL RINGS.
From Inter-House Sports, sports activities and competitions to literary and debate programmes, JETS/STEM, innovation and recycling clubs, excursions and Discovery Days, we give learners opportunities to explore, discover and develop.
Through practical skills such as coding, music, fashion and design, leather work, beauty and cosmetology, we encourage entrepreneurship, creativity and self-reliance.
Because we don’t want to raise children who only know how to pass examinations.
We want to raise thinkers, creators, problem-solvers, leaders and confident young people.
LHS WOULD NOT BE WHERE IT IS TODAY WITHOUT PEOPLE.
To every management team, past and present, who has contributed to the LHS journey since inception , thank you.
To every staff member who teaches, mentors, guides and cares for our learners , thank you.
To our parents who trust us with their children , thank you.
To our learners who continue to make us proud , thank you.
And to every parent, learner, friend and family member who has recommended LHS to someone else:
Thank you for trusting our story enough to share it.
From two learners to well above that today, our growth has been built one learner, one family and one recommendation at a time.
BUT WE ARE NOT DONE.
We are working tirelessly to improve our:
Academics.
Teachers.
Facilities.
Technology.
Learning environment.
Student experience.
Activities.
Systems.
We are reviewing, learning, investing, correcting and building.
Because our goal is not simply to become bigger.
Our goal is to become better.
We want to build a school where academic excellence, character, creativity, technology, practical skills, leadership, sports and real-world learning come together.
A school that prepares learners not only for their next examination, but for the world ahead of them.
Tomorrow, Friday, September 18, 2026, we celebrate 10 years of LHS Nursery & Primary School, Ota.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, we celebrate 9 years of LHS College, Ota.
We are proud of where we are.
But we know there is still so much more to build.
This is the LHS Story.
