LHS College , Ota hosted officials from the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) for their “Catch Them Young” programme.

The visit held special meaning for us as the founder of LHS College was an active member of CITN. His commitment to professionalism, integrity, and nation-building through taxation continues to inspire the values we instill in our students today.

We thank CITN for bringing this impactful initiative to our school. Your presence reaffirmed our founder’s legacy and strengthened the bridge between the tax profession and the next generation.

Our Students learnt the basics of taxation and why paying tax is a civic responsibility, not just a legal one. They were also introduced to tax consultancy, revenue administration, and forensic accounting as viable career paths. Many students now see tax beyond “just FIRS”.
The session also emphasized integrity, accountability, and how taxes fund schools, roads, and hospitals. It connected classroom learning to real national development. Students were encouraged to consider CITN certification after secondary school, opening doors to a respected professional body.

LHS College appreciates CITN for investing in our students. We look forward to more collaborations as we raise future leaders who are financially aware and socially responsible.

LHS College had a Financial Literacy class where our learners were sensitized on how to value money.
