Attention Parents,

Sequel to the political atmosphere in the country, Access college Ota, as an institution of learning/ citadel of excellence has set up Access College Independent Electoral Commission (ACIEC). This body is to conduct elections into the offices of the President and Governor a prototype of Nigeria general elections.

Our vision is to introduce our wards to the sagacity and beauty of elections, competition and leadership roles embodied in politics and also using it as a platform for students to garner confidence and have a sense of belonging thereby erasing future political apathy.

Presidency has been zoned to SS1 - SS3 while Governorship post is for JSS1 - 3.

PARENT RESUMPTION TIPS

It is resumption time
Get ready, get prepared
Back to school tips

Dear Parents,

Get the following:

x Slacked sock needs replacement

x Uniform

x Lunch box and water bottle take your kids along when buying to ensure they can open and close it

x Shoes: buying what is compliant with the school dress code. Don’t buy the oversize shoe go to the market with your kids

x School bag: get a durable, washable and dustable school bag. Check the padding around the strap to be sure is comfortable to wear

x Groceries, snacks and food list
It is resumption time; get enough stuff to put in their lunch box or snack box

x Adjust the bedtime, wake up on time. Wake up schedule No more going late to bed they need to go early to bed. Early to bed…early to rise, let them start practicing it now so that it wouldn’t be difficult while they will be resuming back.

x SCHOOL FEES: this is one thing to not leave till the last minute. School is running a business and they need money to run the business, before buying all the buyable please go and pay the school fees, don’t wait to be told. Sending children home or given notice to their parents makes them look inferior.

x Immunize your children. Especially the crèche (toddler)

x Update contact details: do you have new nanny?
Is there any other relation that will be coming to the school to pick them on your behalf?

x Any medical condition? let the school know on time.

x Meet the class teacher: Get to know your kids new teacher, if it possible before resumption, but if not, on the first day of resumption is a goal.

x Make studying with them a priority no matter how busy your schedule is, arrange on how your kids also study at home and don’t leave all the work to teachers.

x Read all the school messages again, either sms, WhatsApp, on school websites, emails. You might need to pick up something you have missed in the message.

x Clothing, pants, singlet tight
Have extra of everything to avoid washing and not drying e.g. socks, pants, school uniform, and singlet. Have them extra
