🌟 Student Testimonial – Adeniyi Philip Oluwasola (13 years old) 🌟

“When I first came to UPMA, I only had a background knowledge of music. I couldn’t play the keyboard well, but my dad encouraged me to join, saying I would learn a lot—and he was right.
From the very first lessons, I was excited by the way UPMA uses videos and practical teaching to help us understand. Soon, I was learning how to read music notation, play chords, and even perform on stage. Practicing scales on keys like D to B became possible for me, and now I can proudly say I’m truly learning the keyboard in depth.

One of the biggest inspirations for me has been my teacher, Mr. Adetola Taiwo. His amazing playing skills push me to keep practicing and improving. Performing at UPMA boosted my confidence, taught me humility, and even helped me figure out how to learn chords and tonic solfa by myself.

I’m most proud of learning and performing projects like ‘Exercise & Dance,’ which helped me grow both musically and personally. UPMA is not only making me a better musician—it’s shaping me into someone disciplined, creative, and confident.

Now, I believe I am on my way to becoming a professional keyboardist, and I’m grateful that UPMA is guiding me every step of the journey.”

🌟 Student Testimonial – Olabisi Tobiloba Samson (17 years old) 🌟

“Before joining UPMA, I only knew how to sing—I had no instrumental skills. When I saw UPMA’s advert on Facebook, I felt this was the right academy that could help me grow, and I was not disappointed.
Since joining, I’ve discovered the excitement of singing and playing the keyboard at the same time. I’ve learned to play chords, progressions, and even worked on music production and recording. Practicing daily and performing has boosted my confidence, improved my punctuality, and helped me stay disciplined.

One of the biggest inspirations for me has been my mentor, Mr. Adetola Taiwo. His deep knowledge of music and his excellence as a producer push me to work harder. I want to be like him one day.
I’m most proud of recording my own song during a UPMA session and playing instrumental projects like ‘The Mighty God’ by Kay Aroyehun. These experiences made me realize I’m no longer just singing—I am now a growing musician with purpose.

Thanks to UPMA, I can confidently play the keyboard, compose my own songs, and perform with boldness. I now see myself becoming a professional musician and keyboardist, and I owe a huge part of this journey to the solid foundation UPMA is giving me.”

🎶✨ A Surprise Moment at UPMA! ✨🎶

Today, our students had an unforgettable experience! 💫
They were preparing to perform a beautiful song by Pastor Kay Aroyehun, not knowing that God had a surprise in store.

Just as they were about to present the song, Pastor Kay Aroyehun himself walked into the school premises! 🙌 Little did he know he was about to hear his own song being performed live by our students.

The atmosphere was electric when he exclaimed, “Haaa, this is my song!” and immediately joined them in singing while they played. 🎤🎹🎸

The joy on everyone’s face was priceless. And to crown it all, he was so impressed that he blessed one of our young students, Adeniyi Victor (13 years old), with a special cash gift. 💵👏

What a day to remember at UPMA! 🔥 God is indeed faithful.

📍 Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — raising and equipping the next generation of musicians for excellence and the glory of God.

Intercessory Prayer for Music Ministers

Thanksgiving
Our Father and our God, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude. Thank You for the privilege of being called into Your vineyard as music ministers. Thank You for the songs You put in our mouths, even praise unto our God (Psalm 40:3). Thank You for counting us worthy to be vessels that carry Your presence through sounds and melodies. Thank You that though we are earthen vessels, You have placed within us this treasure — the anointing, the gifting, and the calling — that the excellency of power may be of You and not of us (2 Corinthians 4:7).

Lord, we acknowledge that the call to music ministry is not entertainment, it is not mere talent, but it is warfare, it is priesthood, it is service unto the King of kings. Thank You for this holy privilege.

Intercession for Direction and Mentorship
Father, today we lift up those whom You have called but who yet stand at a crossroads, uncertain of what steps to take. Many have perceived the call but lack the clarity of direction. Lord, Your Word says “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord” (Psalm 37:23). Order their steps. Connect them with the right mentors who will guide without exploiting them, with the right teachers who will train without misleading them, and with the right environment that will shape their calling to maturity (Proverbs 11:14).

Lord, just as You gave the sons of Issachar understanding of the times (1 Chronicles 12:32), grant music ministers discernment to know when to stay hidden in the secret place and when to step out to the nations. Let no one abort their destiny by running ahead of Your timing, and let none fall behind and miss their season of manifestation (Habakkuk 2:3).

Intercession for Healing and Restoration
Our Father, we cry out for every wounded soldier in this ministry. So many have launched out with zeal but met with battles too strong for them. Some have been struck by discouragement, some silenced by criticism, some wounded by betrayals, and some ensnared by spiritual attacks. Lord, You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). Heal their wounds, O God. Restore their broken hearts (Psalm 147:3).

For every weary minstrel, breathe upon them afresh. Let the oil of joy replace their mourning and the garment of praise swallow their heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). Raise up again those who fell on the battlefield, and let the sound of their voice, their instruments, and their songs rise again as weapons of victory.

Strength for Those Still Standing
Father, for those still standing firm, we cover them with prayer. Keep them from the snares of pride, distraction, and compromise. For “He that thinks he stands should take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12). Uphold them with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). Clothe them with strength of character, endurance, humility, and holiness. Let them not faint in the day of adversity but rise with greater fire and greater faith (Proverbs 24:10).

Lord, may they remain steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that their labor in You is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Final Declaration
Abba, our deepest desire is that none of us will miss our eternal reward. We are not in this ministry for applause, fame, or money — we are here for Your glory. Let our songs be altars, let our sounds be sacrifices, and let our lives be testimonies that Christ reigns.

When the story of our lives is told before Your throne, may we hear the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord” (Matthew 25:21).

Strengthen Your music ministers, O God. Heal, restore, and uphold us till the very end. We will not fall. We will not faint. We will not miss our crown.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.
