Events of the end time : The word we live in is organized around the principle of sameness or uniformitarianism - " The world is the same today as it was yesterday, and it will be the same tomorrow as it is today." This modern attitude is entirely predictable, having been foretold by the apostle Peter: ' Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lust, and saying, " Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation " (2 peters.3:3,4). People tend to discount or ignore the fact that the universe was created out of nothing by the word of God. People tend to discount the fact that millennia ago, on what seemed to be a perfectly normal day, God destroyed the world with a flood. In the same way, people tend to discount the fact that life on earth will not continue to go along like it always has, for God has announced beforehand in His word that the end of our age will be marked by a series of awesome and spectacular events.

The Golden Calf : At the call of Jehovah, Moses had gone up to the mount of God ( Exodus 24:13) ,while Aaron ,Hur ,and all the people were left in the valley below Mount Sinai. There they were going to be tried, their dependence and obedience tested, during the personal absence of their leader. The sequel shows how sadly they failed and how their failure came about. Moses was out of sight : he was in the presence of God. For a short period all seams to have gone well, but their faith and patience eventually gave away. When they saw that Moses "delayed to come down" ,they getgered around Aaron and demanded that he should make for them " gods to go before ' them. Coupled with this demand, they added words which at once reveal their fallen condition - ". for this Moses, the man that brought us up out if Egypt, we wot not what is become of him " .On the Red Sea shore, they had ascribed to Jehovah the glory of their deliverance and salvation ( Exod. 15:13): but here, under the crest of Sinai, and in sight of the glory of the Lord, like devouring fire on the mountain, they give His glory to another. Such is man - not only by nature fallen and lost, but even after redemption and separation from the world are known, man's evil heart, dominated by unbelief, will lead him away from the living God. ( Heb. 3:12) . Israel forget God their savior. ( psa. 106:21) and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt.(Acts 7:39) .This was the root of their sin. Aaron, wishing to please the people ,and doubtless in the same condition of unbelief as themselves, invited them to take off their jewellery, and with his own hand he made from it a golden calf, which he set up before their eyes, and built an alter before it, proclaiming a feast to the Lord. This was terrible wickedness, all the greater because it was perpetrated by a man of Aaron standing. The crowning act of all was the association of Jehovah's holy Name with this dark idolatry.......

An Interlude before Sinai. -When we reach Exodus 19 ,we will notice that a new phase in the experience of the Israelites begins as they go on through the wilderness. They are about to receive God's holy law, and become His covenanted people. But before that in chapter 18 ,after the battle and the victory at Rephidim ,some interesting scenes are described for us. It is a sort of interlude on the journey, as we read about some family matters of Moses, the leader himself. After a period of separation from them, he is met by his wife Zipporah, their sons Gershom and Eliezer, and his father in law Jethro. Looked at typically, it gives us a beautiful picture of the one thousand year rule of our Lord JESUS Christ over the whole earth, as prophesied in the scriptures. This reign is often referred to by Bible students as the Millennium. You can read about it in passages such as Rev. 20:1-7 . Psa. 2:6-12 and many parts of the prophecies of lsaiah and Zechariah describe its glorious conditions. When our Lord Jesus came into the world the first time, He was rejected, despised, and shamefully crucified. But when He comes again, He will first take out of the world His Church, composed of believers who have died or are alive at the time, then a little later He will appear in power and great glory to set up His kingdom on earth. He will rule as king of kings and Lord of lords. Jerusalem will be His royal city, and all nations will honour and obey Him. Read Psalm 72 for a description of this wonderful reign.

The Pillar of Cloud and Fire - Israel was encamped in Ethan ,on the edge of the wildernesses, not knowing a step of the road that lay between them and their home in Canaan. How it must have gladdened their hearts to see the pillar of cloud descend (Exod .13:20-22). Unasked, and we may say unexpected, God came down in the cloudy pillar to be their guide, to walk with them, to defend them, and to be their companion. What though the way be long and dreary, and the 'great and terrible wilderness' is beset with dangers and filled with fiery serpents and scorpions, so long as God is with them. Every step and every danger are well known to Him, and if they only follow where He leads them, all will be well for them. In the day time the cloud was a covering, stretching over the entire camp, to screen them from the heat. As the shades of evening fell, it became a pillar of fire to give them light ( Psa .105:39). So they were never in darkness. To travel by night was as easy as by day, for the Lord God gave them light, and "there was no night there ". How faithfully and livingly He performed His guiding work as the shepherd of Israel. The words of Deuteronomy 33:10-12 tell us "He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness, He led him about. He instructed him. He kept him as the apple of His eye. As an eagle stirred up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them beareth them on her wings, so the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him." Their failures, their murmurings and their sins did not drive Him away, nor make Him withdraw the cloudy pillar from them. It accompanied them all the forty years of their pilgrimage and hovered above them as they marched in triumph through the dried - up bed of Jordan.

I S A I A H :The book of Isaiah is the whole Bible in miniature. The first 39 chapters reflect the themes of the 39 books in the Old Testament and the last 27 chapters prefigure the events of the New, from John the Baptist to the new heaven and earth. Yet the prophet lived and died (horribly) centuries before JESUS was born. A miracle in words !

The wonder and beauty of s*x within marriage -In the beginning, before the Fall, Adam and Eve were able ti enjoy a close, intimate relationship with nothing to spoil it whatsoever. "The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame."(Genesis 2:25). God still intends married couples to have joy and pleasure in their relationship. Blessings come down godly soul-ties. In Proverbs 5:18-19 we read :May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer - may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love". Godly s*xual in*******se is in itself creative because it feeds and nurtures the spirit, and s*xual relations are expected to continue throughout the marriage. Nurture is creative because it brings about something that did not exist before - building and restoring. That again is why Paul instructs husbands and wives not to deprive each other of the physical pleasure and satisfaction of regular s*xual relations. The only activity that is to break it is prayer and fasting for some specific cause, and this is to be only by mutual consent for a very limited time.

The resurrection of Jesus from the dead stands alone. It was, and is, a unique event. Nothing like it has happened to anyone else ,before or since. That is why it is both the central affirmation of faith for Christians and the greatest stumbling block for unbelievers, a source of profound comfort to some and intense irritation to others. It is difficult to remain indifferent to such a startling story. Since the happening was unparalleled, it cannot be compared with anything else, it can only be contrasted with everything else.

Satanic Temptations- Matthew 4:1-11. It was God's wll that Jesus should face satanic temptations. Infact, it was the Holy Spirit who led Jesus into d wilderness to be tempted by d devil. Satan is clever than any christian. Satan attacked jesus when jesus was weak. Satan attacked jesus when jesus was isolated. Satan attacked jesus when jesus was most spiritual. He had been praying for nearly six weeks.

The Wise Men- ( Matthew 2:1-12). They were scientists, philosophers. You would find them in the courts of the ancient. They came from East, maybe from Babylon or persia. There were many of them. There were three types of gift, but it never says that there were three men. Since Herod ordered every child under two years to be executed, maybe this event took place about a year after the birth of Jesus.

THE KORANIC SCHOOL SYSTEM: A Koranic school is usually found in or outside the mosque itself. Hence the oldest Muslim University, Al- Azhar in Cairo was established in a Mosque. In a typical koranic school, the Umma sits under a tree or in his parlour verander surrounded by volumes of the koran and other Islamic books. The education system varied frm recitation of the koran and writting in Arabic etc.

ISLAM: Islam was founded by prophet Mohammed who was born in Mecca in 570 AD. His followers took it upon themselves to convert other Arabian towns to Islam and when he died in 623 AD, Islam had been firmly established in Arabia. His successor, Abdul who assumed the title of khalifa carried the crusade beyond Arabia and by 644 AD, persia, Egypt and syria had been Islamised.
