This is the latest advertisement from University Teaching Hospital for the new Comprehensive Health Centre, Sepeteri, Saki East Local Government. There are twenty-five categories of posts range from Consultant General Surgeon to Health Records Technicians. Other professions include Dieticians, Engineers, Accountants, Pharmacists and Administrative Officer. Required qualifications are Senior Secondary School Certificate, Higher National Diploma, Bachelor Degrees and professional certificates. These workers are all needful and equally important for the healing and health of patients.
The most prominent aspect of the ministry of our Lord Jesus the Christ is HEALING. The ultimate fulfillment of the Great Commission of His Kingdom is the HEALING of NATIONS (see Revelation 22:2), the WHOLENESS of NATIONS and DISCIPLE of NATIONS. Although there are many church members across all DENOMI-NATIONS. Most members are unemployable because they are not trained and lack experience. It is for the obvious vacancies of WORKERS for the healings of nations, wholeness of nations and disciple of nations that we are formally admitting MINISTERS as TRAINEES, LEARNERS and APPRENTICES to our MINISTERIAL SEMINAR INSTITUTE which is a joint venture between CRPPM and JIS.
The Health System of our country is so poor that patients – leaders and prisoners are referred to hospitals abroad. It is obvious then, the country Nigeria with more than two hundred nations is sick! The sickness of the country is a reflection of sick political system, religious system and institutions and business economic entrepreneur. One still wonders, with the display of wealth by politicians and even religious leaders; why are leaders failing to bring healing to the country. Health and healing is out of reach to the rich in this country; talk less of the poor and not to mention the animals and plants. To solve this noticeable problem inform Our Agenda: Holistic Theological Education with Global Relevance.
We welcome those of you being admitted to this institution to ‘ACRES OF DIAMOND’, a title of a book that document experiences that interpret a Yoruba saying, ‘ohun ti a n wa lq si Sokoto; o wa labc sokoto. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we would bring experts as resource persons with global exposure to instruct trainees who would become agents of wholeness to the nations. We intentionally collaborate with others for ‘it takes community efforts to build Ile-Ife.’
