STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPION!

(MHSS CLASS OF 2015)
From a humble beginning at MHSS as a Games Prefect in 2015, she pursued her dream career in the Sporting world after graduation, & through sheer hard work and resilience, emerged winner of the African Track Champion 2023 Tournament in Cairo, Egypt. Otuodung carted home one gold and three bronze medals, making her the competition's inaugural winner.
For us in MHSS, the victories are heartwarming and worth celebrating. Congratulations our Star Girl for making us proud.
Our best is yet to come.

HURRAY WE ARE CHAMPIONS!
Yesterday, our young minds had a day of achievement in a Quiz Competition organized by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) under the aegis of the National Assembly, in collaboration with Akwa Ibom State Government. Out of the 5 Schools that participated (all privately owned except Mary Hanney Sec. Sch.), our beautiful girls demonstrated exuberance and resilience in the competition to emerge victorious only behind Top Faith International School, Mkpatak. Other schools that participated in the quiz were: Beulah International School, Dominion International School and Bright Stars Academy.
Present at the event were the State Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebet represented by the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, Lady Rose Bassey, Permanent Secretary, State Technical Schools Board, Dr. Helen Ukpabio, and the Permanent Secretary of SUBEB, Mrs. Abasiekeme Essien. Also present were Directors from the State Ministry of Education, representatives from Education Boards as well as teachers from the competing schools. Please let's encourage our Champions as we return all the glory to God Almighty. Congratulations MHSS Oron!

The home branch President, Mrs. Atim Afahame Ikara on behalf of MAHOGA Worldwide, led a delegation of members to the 117th Founders Day Anniversary Celebration of Methodist Boys' High School Oron over the weekend. The occasion also marked the formal transfer of administration & funding of the School to the Akwa Ibom State Government. Congratulations MBHS.
