Dear Old Boys,
I wish to inform you that BSC, Orlu participated in this year's spelling competition.
The competition was organised by GOOD IDEA YOUTHS INTL, ORGANIZATIONS.
The spelling bee competition is being held every year for secondary schools in Imo state.
However, in this year's spelling bee, BSC, Orlu took the *first position.*
This also retains our positions as the champion because we took the first position in the previous year's spelling bee competition.

I decided to share this sucess with our dear old boys.

back the white: An update.

On March 17, 2018 a post was made on the issue of observation of brown and yellow uniform some of the students had on when two of our Old Boys paid a visit to the school. A lot of us responded in support of the 'campaign' to back the white. It can now be reported that the issue came to the attention of the Principal and the following UPDATE can be provided:

Bishop Shanahan College maintains four different uniforms for different occasions.

1. Light Brown shirt and brown trouser/short is for special ceremonies within the premises, like for church on Sundays (the one we saw when we visited).

2. Navy blue shirt with yellow strips at the edges on black trouser/short- is for outing i.e. whenever the students are leaving the school for any external programs especially competition (some of those pics are attached here).

3. White shirt on white trouser/short is for classroom's activities.

4.Light green black trouser/short - is for day Wear.

These uniforms are to make students look good and neat at any point in time as each uniform is for a specific purpose.

From the principal. This is the Principal's word on the uniform issue. We are all satisfied now.
