Happy Teachers’ Day to every teacher who keeps showing up. ❤️👩🏽🏫
There are days when the salary doesn’t seem to match the effort. Days when the workload is overwhelming, the stress is real, and you wonder if all the sacrifices are truly worth it.
Yet, the next morning, we still show up.
We enter the classroom, pick up our markers, open our books and stand before our students with the responsibility of shaping lives.
Sometimes, we are not just teaching English, Mathematics, Science or Literature.
We are teaching confidence.
We are teaching discipline.
We are teaching values.
We are encouraging a child who has almost given up.
We are helping a child discover what they are capable of becoming.
The salary may not be enough, but the impact is priceless.
And I often wonder: if everyone decides to leave teaching because it doesn't pay enough, who will teach our children? Who will prepare the doctors, lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, leaders and professionals of tomorrow?
Someone has to stand in that classroom.
Someone has to believe in that child.
Someone has to keep showing up.
And I am proud to be one of those people.
To every teacher who is tired but still teaches, discouraged but still encourages, underpaid but still gives their best, I see you. I appreciate you. Thank you.
Your work may not always be celebrated, but the lives you touch will carry your impact for years to come.
I’m glad I chose teaching. I’m glad to be a teacher. ❤️
Happy Teachers’ Day to me and to every teacher who is faithfully doing the work.
May our labour never be in vain. 🙏🏽📚
