Don't Confuse Studying With Learning

A child can sit with books for two hours and still learn very little.

Studying is not simply about time spent at a desk.

Effective learning requires attention, understanding, practice and reflection.

After studying a topic, ask your child:

"Can you explain what you have just learnt without looking at the book?"

That simple question can reveal a lot.

Hello everyone, good evening.

I’d like to share something that may be helpful to parents and guardians in this group, especially as we settle into the new academic term.

Sometimes, when a child is struggling academically, our first thought is to add more lessons, more homework or more study time.
