MISSION: To provide each pupil/student with a broad and balanced education in a safe and supportive environment.... Kingshouse International School (KIS) was founded by a visionary educator, Albert Adedayo Olofinnika in the summer of 2001; and was established as a pre-school. The school opened as Kingsland Children School (KCS), a full nursery and primary school in September 2002. KIS is a private day and boarding Nursery, Primary and Secondary School serving the needs of children from the International and Nigerian communities between the ages of 3 months - 5 years in the Nursery School and 6 – 11 years in the Primary School. It started Grade 7 (JSS 1) the Junior Secondary School in October, 2021. The language of instruction is English, but Nigerian language (Yoruba) and French is used when taught as individual subjects. The school boasts an excellent staff, the majority of whom, with the exception of foreign language teachers, are Nigerian/British qualified and experienced teachers. Our site is a wonderful bright and well-resourced school offering an excellent learning environment for children. The school has extensive classrooms; computer facilities, library, and large (inside and outside) play facilities. Kingshouse International School offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for all the children. The school is committed to achieving high academic standards and follows the National Curriculum for Nigeria and is also in line with schools in the UK by integrating the British curriculum into our scheme. KIS is recognized and approved by the Nigerian Ministry of Education, is registered with the the Corporate Affairs Commission, Department for Education and Skills for Nigeria, and the International Baccalaureate Organization. It is also a regular member of the African Council of International Schools and the Council of British International Schools.
