*OAUSTECH Receives NUC Approval for New Programmes*

Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria, has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to launch three new undergraduate programmes and higher degrees in two departments.

The approval was contained in a letter dated 23rd October, 2025 and signed by the NUC's Acting Director of Academic Planning, Alhaji Abubakar M. Girei on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu.

The approved undergraduate programmes include:
- BSc Cyber Security
- BSc Marine Science
- BSc Meteorology

The postgraduate programmes approved are:
- Postgraduate Diploma, M. Eng and PhD Civil Engineering
- Postgraduate Diploma, M. Eng and PhD Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The Vice-Chancellor of OAUSTECH, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, described the NUC approval as a "testament to the University's commitment to academic excellence and innovation." He stated that the new programmes would provide students with cutting-edge skills and knowledge, enabling them to compete globally. He thanked the NUC for the approval and urged the University community to work together to ensure the success of the new programmes.

The University's Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, Dr. Cecilia Oluwamodupe, expressed delight at the development, citing it as a significant milestone that would enhance the University's visibility. She commended the University's leadership, particularly Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, and the Governing Council led by Professor Akinbo Adesomoju.

The new programmes, especially Marine Science, are expected to benefit the coastal community by providing lucrative career opportunities. OAUSTECH will begin admitting students into the undergraduate programmes once they are listed on JAMB CAPS.

2025/2026 ADMISSIONS: RELEASE OF OAUSTECH POST-UTME RESULTS

The general public, staff, students, parents and guardians are hereby informed that the University has released the post UTME results for all candidates that sat for Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science and Public Health Post UTME recently.

Therefore, candidates are to visit the University’s website: www.oaustech.edu.ng. for their scores and check their respective registration portals for their admission status.

Please note that the Cut-off Marks are stated below;
Nursing Science: 65.00
Medical Laboratory Science: 50.00
Public Health: 44.50

OAUSTECH 2025/2026 Admission Screening Portal Temporarily Under Maintenance

The management of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, wishes to inform all UTME and Direct Entry candidates that the registration portal for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME Admission Screening Exercise is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance.

This temporary downtime is part of efforts to enhance the system’s performance and user experience as the university prepares to accommodate the expected large number of applicants for the new academic session.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to remain calm and patient, as technical teams are working round the clock to restore access to the portal. The portal, once live, will be smoothly accessible where candidates will be able to register, make payment, and upload necessary documents.

Candidates are advised to:

Regularly visit the official website oaustech.edu.ng for updates.

Ensure UTME or DE registration numbers, valid email addresses, and payment channel of choice ready for payment as soon as the portal is reactivated.

Begin compiling required documents ahead of time to ease the registration process once the platform becomes available.

*OAUSTECH 2025/2026 ADMISSIONS SCREENING EXERCISE (FOR UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES)*

This is to inform all UTME and Direct Entry candidates who applied for admissions into Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State formerly known as Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa for the 2025/2026 academic session that registration for POST UTME admissions screening exercise has commenced.

Candidates who made OAUSTECH their first choice of institution and scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME are eligible for POST UTME Screening Exercise. In addition, candidates who chose the University as second choice or did not choose it at all are advised to do a change of institution to OAUSTECH as first choice on JAMB website and Direct Entry candidates should also choose OAUSTECH as their first choice before registering. Candidates must possess five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings.

All prospective candidates are to note that all courses in the School of Science now run for four (4) years.

Note: All candidates should upload O’Levels Results ( WAEC, NECO, GCE, and ND, JUPEP,IJMB etc) to JAMB portal.

Specific Admission Requirements

Candidates are advised to check their eligibility for each programme on the University’s Website before proceeding on registration.

Nursing Science

Candidates for Nursing Science should have scored 180 and above in 2025 UTME. They are expected to sit for the PUTME on a date to be announced later. Graduates of School of Nursing who have done Council Examinations could apply for Direct Entry.

Medical Laboratory Science

Candidates for Medical Laboratory Science should have scored 180 and above in 2025 UTME. They are expected to sit for the PUTME on a date to be announced later

Public Health

Candidates for Public Health should have scored 180 and above in 2025 UTME. They are expected to sit for the PUTME on a date to be announced later.

Note: Candidates for Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science and Public Health Science must have their ‘O’ Levels Results at one sitting.

Agriculture

Agricultural Economics and Extension, Animal Production and Health, and Crop, Soil and Pest Management Programmes are classified under Agriculture on Jamb portal. Candidates applying into Agriculture on JAMB portal are to choose any of these three Programmes on the University portal.

Payment

A sum of Two Thousand Naira (N2000.00) only is to be paid through the procedure below with an ATM card.

Method of Application

Candidates are to visit the University website at https://oaustech.edu.ng or the Admission portal at https://portal.oaustech.edu.ng/apply
Candidates are advised to read the registration instructions on the portal before proceeding with the screening registration.
All Candidates must use a VALID DE or UTME Registration Number to sign up for an account and make payment on the platform.
Please note that the candidate’s DE or UTME Registration Number and the Full Names (as it is on UTME Slip) should be correctly provided at the point of payment and registration.
After successful payment, candidates are automatically redirected to the registration stages one after the other to meticulously complete their data registration forms and uploading of relevant documents online.
Candidates are advised to print a copy of the application form and bring it along for the POST UTME exercise.
