Meeting people might be coincidental, but many believe that these encounters are orchestrated by a higher power. Working closely with others, however, involves personal decisions, attitudes, and the environment we cultivate. Maintaining strong relationships within an organization is crucial for its continuous growth and success. Effective interpersonal connections among team members create a collaborative environment where ideas flow freely and innovative solutions can emerge. Positive relationships lead to open communication, enhancing problem-solving and creativity. This supportive network boosts morale and productivity, making the organization more dynamic and responsive.

Furthermore, fostering healthy relationships within the team improves retention and satisfaction. When team members feel valued and connected, they are more likely to stay committed to the organization, reducing turnover and the associated costs of hiring and training new staff. A stable workforce with strong internal bonds ensures smoother transitions and continuity in projects, allowing the organization to build on past successes without significant disruptions.

Additionally, nurturing positive relationships extends beyond internal dynamics to enhance external partnerships and interactions. Organizations that value strong internal connections often reflect this approach in their dealings with clients and business partners. This can lead to successful negotiations, better customer service, and long-term business relationships, contributing to sustained growth and a competitive edge. Ultimately, investing in relationships both within and outside the organization is a strategic approach that drives long-term success and growth.

*A lecture delivered by Miss Akindejuoye Janet at the 2024 International Childrens day celebration on the topic Impacting the Younger Generation being the theme of the Program organised by Oyin and Friends Initiatives*

Permit me to adopt the already said protocols, distinguished members of the high table, esteemed guests, dear parents, lovely children, members of the press, ladies and gentlemen.

It is with great pleasure and honor that I stand before you today as we witness yet another amazing event unfolding in our eye. Children are the heritage of the lord and I'm excited to be counted worthy as a partaker of the joy radiating in our midst right now.

This event is a momentous occasion that marks the significant of what Children represents *future* . "They are the valuable World's Resources and it's best hope for the Future"

As we gather here today, it is important to reflect on the significance of this day and the importance of promoting the welfare and interests of children.
You see Children are the footprint we leave behind in this world, we need to cherish them.

Every child is important. Statistics gathered from UNICEF had it that over 64 million children of Primary school age remains out of school, There are billions of children living in the world today, many of whom are vulnerable and disenfranchised. You see, kids are physically smaller than adults and still developing mentally and emotionally, they are faced with so many challenges ranging from Poverty to Hunger, lack of access to clean water, Death by preventable illnesses, Lack of education, Child labor, Gender-based violence, Child marriage, Early pregnancy, Effects of war and conflict, Exploitation of kids in war, Climate change, Air pollution, Family separation, Human trafficking, Increased risks for LGBTQ+ kids, Racism, Lack of mental treatment, Lack of access to justice, Lack of birth registration and so many to count on and on.

It should be the collective responsibility of everybody to address these issues considering a more inclusive and equitable educational system and one of the way to achieve this is by critically examining the theme of today's celebration: Impacting the Younger Generation - chatting the course of the future

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the organiser of this great event, for their hard work and dedication to humanity. At the same time, I would like to extend my congratulations to all teens here sitted, and I look forward to working with you all to continue driving the course of success.

Quickly to the topic under discourse
" Impacting the Younger Generation"

The topic have few cogent words that I will like to familiarize you all with for Indepth understanding of this discussion

*impacting* means to have a strong effect or influence on a situation, something or person.

*Younger* describes an early stage of development or existence; not old.

*Generation* describes a group of people of about the same age within a society or within a particular family, or the usual period of time from a person's birth to the birth of his or her children:

Now bringing these words to a consactive or radical point. Impacting the younger generations will help address so many issues ensuing around child growth like I mentioned earlier, these issues needs to be addressed at thiS primitive stage that one becomes more conscious of her environment and the issues that affect them. By doing this, we can be sure to work towards creating a more inclusive and equal society for all.

When we start the business of impacting the younger generation at a young age can also help to break down stereotypes and barriers that prevent children from fully participating in political and public life. By providing opportunities for them to engage in discussions, debates, and leadership roles, we can help them develop the skills and confidence they need to become effective leaders in the future.

In today's rapidly evolving world, impacting the younger generation has become more crucial than ever. The youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the active shapers of today's society. Their thoughts, actions, and values are molded by the influences they encounter, making it imperative for us to provide positive guidance and support.

Let's consider the following factors that can guides us to impact the younger generation

**Education as a Foundation**

One of the most powerful ways to impact the younger generation is through education. Quality education equips young people with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the complexities of modern life. It fosters critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to solve problems. Beyond academic knowledge, education also imparts essential life skills such as communication, empathy, and resilience. By prioritizing inclusive and holistic education, we lay the groundwork for a generation that is well-informed and capable of driving progress.

**Role Models and Mentorship**

Role models and mentors play a significant role in shaping the aspirations and behaviors of young people. Positive role models provide a tangible example of what can be achieved through hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Mentorship, on the other hand, offers personalized guidance, helping young individuals to set goals, overcome challenges, and develop a sense of purpose. Encouraging the younger generation to seek out and connect with mentors can provide them with valuable insights and support throughout their personal and professional journeys.

**Encouraging Innovation and Creativity**

In an era defined by technological advancement and change, fostering innovation and creativity in the younger generation is vital. Encouraging young people to think outside the box, experiment with new ideas, and embrace failure as a learning opportunity can lead to groundbreaking innovations and solutions. Providing platforms for creative expression, such as art, music, and technology clubs, can inspire young minds to explore their potential and contribute to society in meaningful ways.

**Promoting Mental and Emotional Well-being**

The mental and emotional well-being of young people is a cornerstone of their overall development. In a world where stress and anxiety are prevalent, it is essential to create environments that support their mental health. This includes promoting open conversations about mental health, providing access to counseling and support services, and fostering a culture of empathy and understanding. By prioritizing their well-being, we enable the younger generation to thrive and reach their full potential.

**Empowering through Social Responsibility**

Instilling a sense of social responsibility in the younger generation is crucial for building a compassionate and equitable society. Encouraging young people to engage in community service, environmental conservation, and social justice initiatives helps them understand the importance of contributing to the greater good. By empowering them to take action on issues they care about, we nurture a generation of socially conscious individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the world

In Conclusion, beloved, Impacting the younger generation is a collective responsibility that requires the concerted efforts of educators, parents, mentors, and the community at large. By providing quality education, fostering innovation, supporting mental well-being, and promoting social responsibility, we can equip young people with the tools they need to succeed and lead with integrity. As we invest in the younger generation, we are investing in a brighter, more hopeful future for all

Happy children day celebration
Thanks for listening and God bless

*You are a Leader, start acting like one: Are leaders born or made?*

Leadership has been found to be the capacity to translate vision into reality, and also galvanize individuals or groups toward achieving set goals and objectives.

True leadership they say, comes through experience, determination, hardwork, deligence, and passion; meaning that leaders are made through deliberate, and relentless effort.

However, some individuals are born leaders, perhaps because of their family background, cultural practices or inherent abilities.
Many believe that leaders are born with such traits and characteristics that distinguishes them right from birth and far above the rest. These “natural-born leaders” as they’re sometimes called rise to the occasion because that’s just who they are.

Jack Welch says; "before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others."
