Job Title: Primary Class Teacher
Job Purpose: To plan, deliver and assess a high-quality curriculum in line with the school's mission and policies, and to provide a safe and engaging learning environment for primary-aged children.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum, policies and guidelines.
2. Assess and record students' progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
3. Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the needs of all learners.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and develop the curriculum.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student achievement and attendance.
6. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, and respond to their queries and concerns in a timely manner.
7. Participate in school events and activities, including assemblies, parent-teacher conferences and extracurricular activities.
8. Ensure that the classroom and school environment is safe, clean and conducive to learning
Skills:
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
2. Experience in planning and delivering differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
3. Proficient in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
4. Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
5. Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
Working Conditions:
Full-time position, typically working from Monday to Friday.
Classroom teaching may involve standing for long periods of time and working with children with a range of abilities and needs.
