Most people think having a good Hifdh is just about repeating verses again and again…

Yes! that might be part of it BUT!

Many people still forget what they memorized even after several repetitions

Imagine these two students who were memorizing at the same pace…

same time, same effort.

But after a few weeks one remembered everything clearly,
while the other kept forgetting and starting over.

What would you think is the difference?

It wasn’t intelligence.
It wasn’t effort.

It came down to 3 simple things:

A few years ago, I used to struggle with memorizing the Qur’an.

I would memorize a page today… and forget half of it tomorrow.
It felt frustrating. I even started questioning if Hifdh was “for me.”

But everything changed when a teacher told me something simple:

“Your problem is not memorization… it’s revision.”

At first, I didn’t believe it.
I thought I just needed more time, more focus, more effort.

But I decided to try ONE habit:

👉 For every new page I memorized, I revised 3–5 old pages daily.

At the beginning, it felt slow.
Like I wasn’t making progress.

But after a few weeks… something amazing happened:

✔️ My old memorization became solid
✔️ I stopped forgetting so quickly
✔️ My confidence skyrocketed

And suddenly, Hifdh didn’t feel impossible anymore.

So here’s the strategy:

Don’t rush new memorization
Make revision your priority
Be consistent, even if it’s small

Because Hifdh is not about how much you memorize…
It’s about how much you retain.

Start this habit today and watch your relationship with the Qur’an transform.
