POWER TO ENERGIZE THE CHURCH
SETTING UP A SATELLITE SCHOOL IN YOUR LOCALITY IS AS EASY AS 1, 2, 3!
1 ASK for God’s help as your consider a satellite School in your congregation and locality! “Devote yourselves to prayer…praying at the same time for us as well, that God may open up to us a door for the word” (Col. 4:2-3).
2 BEGIN by approaching your church leaders regarding the value of a Satellite School! Let them know that it can provide excellent opportunities for spiritual growth! It is important the leadership supports the concept of a Satellite School and how useful it is in “feeding the flock” (Acts. 20:28).
3 CONTACT Darrell Memorial Bible Institute at Obudu and speak with Prince Canice Ugbe and request a meeting with your congregational leaders on the possibility of starting benefiting from this gestures within Nigeria.
THE BEGINNING BASICS…
*COMMUNICATE to the church the urgency of an in depth Bible Study! People will not dedicate themselves to a project or cause unless they see the need in it.
* EXPLAIN the need and purpose in having a Satellite School. DMBI can help with a variety of suggestions that will help them see the great need for spiritual growth.
* ANNOUNCE the idea TO THE ENTIRE congregations, encouraging all to become active participants.
*INVITE area churches to participate in the school. The purpose of Satellite Schools is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth for all who are interested in the Word of God.
*DECIDE the best time and place of the initial meeting. Find out the best night on which to hold the classes and then use every available means to get the information out to the membership. (ie. Place information in the bulletin giving pertinent information about the upcoming courses.)
*SELECT an enthusiastic liaison to keep the contact with us. This is the key to a successful Satellite School!
*ISSUE a challenge to students for a commitment of study and growth! Make opportunities for them to put their newly obtained knowledge to use immediately.
*PRAY that God will bless the satellite School for His glory and Honour!

FINANCING A SATELLITE SCHOOL…
There are many ways to finance a school. Here are a few:
• Directly out of the church treasury.
• Use our time payment plan.
• Ask individual members for support in financing the school.
• Have a one-time contribution by the entire congregation quarterly.
• Several churches pooling their resources to purchase the materials and provide allowances to teachers and instructors.
• Individual students pay for the program and materials.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND…?
ALL SATELLITE PROGRAMCOURSES ARE OPEN TO ALL CHRISTIANS MALE AND FEMALE. Congregations seeking to have proper leadership stand to benefit by enrolling would be leaders to become sound in the word to help shut the mouth of false teachers.
