Proper and Common Nouns

A Proper Noun is the specific name by which a personality, being, concept, event or place of special status is uniquely and specially called or identified.

By the term of special status, this definition excludes generic names and creatures, events and places of no special or less important status from proper nouns.

Thus because of its special status, the initial of a proper noun is ALWAYS in upper case.

And thus, proper nouns are given for uniqueness and status.

Proper nouns are often contrasted with common noun.

Common nouns are the names given to different beings and creatures of a kind, class or of no or less important status to humans.

Thus common nouns are given for common, and some times specific identification, with no regard to status.

Example:
Although diabetes is a specific name of a sickness, it is still a common noun because it has no special status or importance to humans.

Consonants Sounds

Consonants are the sounds we make when we make any two parts of our mouth meet or come very close to each other and try to block the air we're pushing out through the mouth or nose.

Vowel Sounds

Vowel sounds are the sounds we make without blocking the air we're pushing out.

So consonant sounds are made with any two parts of the mouth in touch or close contact while vowel sounds are made by allowing the air go freely.

If our vocal cords in the throat vibrate while pushing out the air, the sound is "voiced". If there is no vibration or it isn't significant, then the sound is "voiceless". Vowels are usually voiced, but some consonants are voiceless.
