IDEMILI SOUTH LGA MAYOR PROMISES A BETTER YEAR TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The Idemili South LGA Secretariat domiciled in Ojoto, was alive yesterday being Tuesday the 17th day of January 2023, as all Ward Counselors that made up the local Government, gathered in their official first meeting of the year with the Mayor, with a view to a better and more productive Idemili local council in the days ahead.

The Local Government Chairperson Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Idemili) in her address, appreciated the Honorable Counselors for their dedication to duty in the year past, but used the opportunity to inform them that the job for a better and more Prosperous Idemili South LGA, has only but just begun.

The Mayor then charged and encouraged all to fasten their seatbelts in readiness for the greater task ahead.

Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi thanked the Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for proving the path finder and guiding light towards the livable and prosperous Anambra State.

Mrs Chinwe Mgbajiaka a very strong pillar of WIGA, and who attended on a visiting capacity, appreciated the Idemili South Council Working Team and used the opportunity to pray and wish the LGA Chairman Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi, well in her council duties.
She thereafter gifted the Idemili South Council Team, a pleasant new year package, as encouragement.

DISSOLUTION OF NNOBI STUDENTS NATIONAL EXECUTIVES COUNCIL

IDEMILI SOUTH COUNCIL BOSS SET TO FLAG OFF "OPERATION CLEAN, ECO-FRIENDLY AND LIVEABLE IDEMILI SOUTH" ON THURS. 8TH SEPT, 2022.

Inline with Gov. Soludo's initiative for a liveable Anambra, the Transition Committee Chairperson of Idemili South L.G.A, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi will on Thursday, 8th September flag off the operation "Clean, Eco-friendly and Liveable Idemili South". She will also use the same occasion to inaugurate a five man waste management committee in every political ward of Idemili South Local Government.

The 5-Man Waste management committee in each ward comprises the Honorable Councillor of the ward as the chairman of the committee, an environmental health officer as the secretary, a representative of the town union, head of vigilantee and a member of a community based organization.

The Local Government Chairperson of Idemili South, Hon. Obi also promised to employ sweepers who will be keeping the streets of Idemili South neat for the enhancement of a clean, eco-friendly and liveable Idemili South.

The waste management committee are to work closely with Anambra waste management agency (ASWAMA) Contractor for Idemili South L.G.A, Environmental, Health and Works ministry to achieve the Operation "Clean, eco-friendly and Liveable Idemili South" which is an initiative of Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi, the Chairperson Idemili South L.G.A.

THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF IDEMILI SOUTH STUDENTS VISITS IDEMILI SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRPERSON

Yesterday 17th August 2022, The National Association Of Idemili South Students led by Rotr Eruchalu Onyeka Chidinma the National President paid a congratulatory visit to the transition committee chairperson of Idemili south Hon. Amaka Obi (IYOM IDEMILI).

The purpose of the visit is to congratulate and familiarize with the new mayor, speaking during the visit, the National President Rotr Eruchalu Onyeka Chidinma expressed joy that after many years, that a woman is given the opportunity to head the local government, he assures students readiness to work with the chairperson for a better Idemili South.

The Local government chairperson Expressed her heartfelt gratitude and assured the student's leaders that the welfare and well-being of Idemili South will be protected
