HHI Seminarโ2 | Round 2 Successfully Held
The USTC Research Cell (URC), University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), successfully organized the second seminar of the second round of the Horizons of Human Intelligence (HHI) monthly seminar series on 22 August 2026.
The intellectually stimulating session featured two insightful presentations exploring the lives, works, and groundbreaking contributions of Nobel laureates.
๐๏ธ Prof. Dr. Md. Jakaria Habib, Chairman & Professor, Department of English, USTC, delivered a presentation on Wole Soyinka, highlighting his life, literary works, and contributions to African literature, with particular focus on 'The Lion and the Jewel'.
๐๏ธ Dr. Md. Moyen Uddin PK, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, USTC, presented โFrom Tiny RNA to Precision Diagnostics,โ exploring the pioneering work of Nobel laureates Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun in the field of physiology or medicine.
The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan, Director, International Collaboration Division, UGC, as the Guest of Honor.
Professor Dr. Md Sohel Rana, Advisor, USTC Research Cell, and Mr. Dilip Kumar Barua, Registrar, USTC, attended as Special Guests. The session was chaired by Dr. Mycal Dutta, Director, USTC Research Cell.
The distinguished guests appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for intellectual engagement, interdisciplinary learning, and academic exchange within the university community.
