Ịkpa nkata ( basketry or basket making)in some parts of igbo land is widely considered to be one of the oldest crafts known to mankind, potentially predating pottery.

Often referred to as "Ekete" "Ide" or "Ikata" in some dialect, it was predominantly woven by women into different sizes and shapes, each with specific use.
Popular materials used in making the basket include: the willow (igu nkwu or emere) and the cane ( apipia or aňa).

The 2nd Edition of Authority 91.9 FM, Nnewi Children's Day Best Brain Challenge held on the 27th day of May, 2024, was an intense and thought provoking out of classroom debate and quiz competition, that had in attendance several respectable institutions within Nnewi and its terrain. 📖📗📚

It is worthy to mention that the representatives of the school for the Senior secondary category emerged the winner of that category🏅. Again, the school's representatives for the junior secondary category emerged the first runner up for the junior secondary category.🏅

We deeply extend our warm regards to the management of Authority 91.9 fm2. Nnewi for this rare vision intended to enlarge the intellectual skills and readiness of these students in preparation for the dynamics posed by our educational society. In the wake of the solemn Christian religious observance commemorating the trials, tribulations and sufferings of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we have put up a drama presentation to x-ray various biblical stories associated with the liturgical year. Christ is the reason for the season and we are privileged to celebrate Him.

We implore you to join us in savoring the quietude of "Road to calvary" as you unwind in the Jewish ambience.
