EXAMINATION TENSION IS REAL

I have been a victim of Exam tension. It was our chemistry practicals. I have been bombarded with strict warning of how any slightest mistake can make me fail. I was been overly careful hence I became tensed.

I could barely hold the apparatus for practical.

Examination tension is one of the major causes of failure.

It's not always a result of lack of preparation but fear born out of lack of self confidence. Pressure to perform well, high expectations from parents etc

That is why self confidence is paramount in academic success.

Examination tension can make you forget all you read. You must constantly tell yourself that you can. Daily affirmation is important where there is self doubt.

Here are few ways you can avoid exam tension.

✔️You must prayerfully prepare. Leaning totally on God's help.

✔️ Adequate preparation.

✔️ Take deep breaths to calm your nerves before starting the exam.

✔️ Arrive early to avoid last-minute panic.

✔️Stay positive and remind yourself that you’ve prepared well.

✔️Read instructions carefully before answering anything.

✔️ Start with easy questions to build confidence.

✔️ Ignore others and focus only on your paper.

✔️ Manage your time wisely – don’t spend too long on one question.

✔️ Visualize success – imagine finishing the exam calmly and confidently.
