Belief of Jesus PBUH in Islam.

In Islam, Jesus is highly respected and honored, but his role is understood differently from Christian belief. In Islam he is known as ʿĪsā ibn Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary). Here is a clear summary of what Islam teaches about him:
1. Jesus is a great Prophet, not God
Islam teaches that Jesus is one of the greatest prophets of God, but not divine and not the son of God.
Qur’an 5:72 – “Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him.”
Muslims believe worship belongs to Allah alone.
2. Born miraculously to Virgin Mary
Islam strongly affirms the virgin birth of Jesus. Mary (Maryam) is one of the most honored women in Islam and has a whole chapter named after her in the Qur’an (Surah Maryam).
Qur’an 19:20–21 – Jesus was born by God’s command, without a father.
3. Jesus performed miracles by God’s permission
Islam teaches that Jesus performed many miracles by Allah’s permission, including:
Speaking as a baby
Healing the blind and the l***r
Raising the dead
Creating a bird from clay and giving it life
Qur’an 3:49
4. Jesus was not crucified
Islam teaches that Jesus was not killed or crucified. Instead, Allah raised him up, and it was made to appear so to the people.

5. Jesus will return before the Day of Judgment
Muslims believe Jesus will return near the end of time, defeat the false messiah (Dajjal), restore justice, and reaffirm the worship of one God.
6. Jesus preached pure monotheism
Islam teaches that Jesus called people to worship one God and follow God’s law, just like other prophets such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
7. Respect for Jesus is part of Islamic faith
A Muslim cannot be a Muslim without believing in Jesus as a prophet.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “I am the closest of people to Jesus, son of Mary, in this world and the Hereafter.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

# Definition
Fasting, or Sawm, is the fourth pillar of Islam and involves abstaining from food, drink, and other physical desires from dawn to sunset.

# Quranic Evidence
"O you who believe, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may develop self-restraint." (Quran 2:183)

# Hadith Evidence
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Fasting is a shield, so the one who fasts should avoid obscene speech and ignorant behavior." (Bukhari)

# Types of Fasting
1. _Obligatory Fasting_: Fasting during Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
2. _Voluntary Fasting_: Fasting on days other than Ramadan, such as Mondays and Thursdays.
3. _Expiatory Fasting_: Fasting as a form of expiation for certain sins.

# Benefits of Fasting
1. _Spiritual Growth_: Fasting helps develop self-restraint, empathy, and a stronger connection with Allah.
2. _Physical Health_: Fasting can improve physical health by reducing inflammation, improving insulin sensitivity, and boosting the immune system.
3. _Social Benefits_: Fasting promotes unity and solidarity among Muslims, especially during Ramadan.

# Etiquette of Fasting
1. _Intention_: Make a sincere intention to fast before dawn.
2. _Suhoor_: Eat a pre-dawn meal to prepare for the fast.
3. _Iftar_: Break the fast after sunset with dates and water.
4. _Taraweeh_: Perform additional prayers during Ramadan.

# Quran Verse: "And indeed, with hardship comes ease." (Quran 94:5)

This verse is a promise from Allah that every difficulty will be followed by relief and ease. It's a reminder that life's challenges are temporary and that Allah is always with us.

# Story:
Ibn Abbas (RA), a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was once asked about this verse. He replied, "When Allah imposes a hardship on you, He will soon bring ease. This is like a man who is sailing on a ship. When he encounters a storm, he is frightened. But soon, the storm subsides, and the sun shines bright."

# Hadith:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Whenever a Muslim is afflicted with a hardship, Allah forgives his sins." (Bukhari)

This Hadith emphasizes the idea that hardships are opportunities for spiritual growth and forgiveness. When we face challenges, we are given the chance to turn to Allah, seek His help, and repent for our sins.

# Story:
Aisha (RA), the wife of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), narrated that the Prophet would often say, "No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it, even if it is a thorn that pricks him." (Bukhari)

One day, Aisha's mother passed away. Aisha was deeply grieved. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) comforted her, saying, "Allah has forgiven your mother's sins and elevated her status because of her patience during her illness."

These stories and explanations illustrate the importance of perseverance and faith during difficult times. Remember, every hardship will be followed by ease, and Allah is always with us.
