We are happy to announce that the Honourable Minister-in-charge of Lands in Nigeria recently approved the collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Lands and Housing Development and our Institute.
Our first tasks shall be to;
1. Jointly mobilize fund and organize annual National Land Conference.
2. Jointly carry out training on the available tools for Systematic Land Titling and Registration.
3. Jointly mobilize funds, review, and present the draft national land policy to the national stakeholders.
We believe this initiative would address issues around;
1. policy and legal framework for Land administration.
2. Quality of service delivery and capacity issues.
3. Transparency in allocation and management process.
4. Access to land and tenure security.
5. Gender bias in cultural practices relating to land.
6. Level of titling and registration, and
7. The unending feud over farmland and grazing area, etc.
