Five O'Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology are required for admission into the MBBS Programme.
Other Programmes: Five O'Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at not more than two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics and three (3) other subjects relevant to course of study.
Results of PAST Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examinations (UTME) are not allowed.
Candidates awaiting SSCE results or its equivalent can also apply for admission provided they qualify when results are available.

The management of the Polytechnic Ibadan invites qualified candidates to the 2024/2025 academic session post UTME screening exercise for admission into its various National Diploma (ND) programmes

Candidates applying for the National Diploma Programmes must have attempted the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained scores not lower than 150.

You will be required to supply five(5) O’level credits in NOT more than two(2) sittings relevant to your course of study. Candidates must have made the institution their 1st choice Applicants who did not choose the Polytechnic, Ibadan as their first choice of institution can also apply, but can only be considered for admission when they make a change to the institution as the first choice

PAYMENT PLATFORM: All Fees are payable via the POLYIBADAN on-line Payment Platform. Note: Bank transaction charge per transaction apply for all on-line card payments. *UNIJOS mobilises for ASUU strike*

The University of Jos chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities on Friday said it is fully ready to join the nationwide strike if the government fails to meet up with the 14-day ultimatum given to it by the National Executive Committee of the union to address unresolved issues including the reconstitution of the governing councils of federal universities.

Addressing a press conference in Jos on Friday after an emergency meeting with union members, ASUU chairman, Jurbe Molwus said that workers in the federal university had been mobilised for the action.

“The Academic Staff Union of Universities, University of Jos branch held its meeting on Friday 17th May 2024 and took a report of the National Executive Council meeting that was held at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May 2024

“The union at the branch comprehensively reviewed the report and deliberated extensively on the status of the union’s engagement with the federal and state governments on the lingering issues Given a critical review of the current state of affairs in our public universities as well as in our nation at large bearing in mind the hardship being faced by our members and the Nigerian masses, the University of Jos branch of ASUU strongly aligns with the position of NEC in giving the government a 14-day ultimatum to do the needful to avoid breakdown of industrial harmony. Our Congress is undoubtedly, fully mobilized even as we hope that government will be responsive and act responsibly”, Molwus stated

The ASUU chairman lamented the failure of the federal and state governments to keep to their promises towards addressing the lingering issues that forced the union to embark on the nationwide strike that lasted for eight months in 2022.

He said it was sad that the Federal Government had not paid the backlog of the earned academic allowances owed its members more than one year after they were captured in the 2023 Nat

*2024UTME: JAMB RELEASES MORE UTME RESULTS*

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, on Tuesday, has released additional 36,540 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results, which were earlier withheld for further investigation.

This was in addition to the 531 results released the previous week now bringing the total results released to 1,879,437.

*The board disclosed this in a statement it released on Tuesday night through its spokesman, Fabian Benjamin.*

*The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has issued a looming ultimatum to launch a nationwide strike in response to the notable void of governing councils in all federal universities nationwide, along with other unattended matters by the government.*

A. HND IN PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING
i. WASCE/NECO/SSCE 5Credit passes in Eng. Lang., Mathematics ,Biology, Physics, and Chemistry at not more than two sittings PLUS either ii, iii or iv below:
ii. Registered Nursing (RN) certificate.
iii.. BNSc candidates from Universities accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria .
iv. BNSc candidates from Universities outside Nigeria with evidence of verification of certificates and license by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
Duration: 2 years (Four semesters), except candidates with BNSc (one year – two semesters)
B. DIPLOMA FOR HEALTH TECHNICIANS (DIRECT ENTRY)
4 O’Level Credit passes in WASCE or NECO in four subjects including English language, Mathematics, Biology and any other Science subject in not more than two sittings.
Duration: 3 years (Six Semesters)
C. DIPLOMA FOR HEALTH TECHNICIANS
Academically qualified Health Assistant who has a minimum of two years working experience with 4 Credit passes O/L in WASCE or NECO Exam, which includes English language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science and any Social Science subject.
Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)
D. CERTIFICATE FOR HEALTH ASSISTANTS
(Location of Training is Satellite Campus, Okeho, Kajola Local Govt, Oyo State)
5 O’Level Credit passes in WASCE or NECO Examination which must include English language, Biology/Health Science and any other two subjects.
Candidates with lower qualification but with working experience in the health sector may be considered.
Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)
2. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT HEALTH
A. DIPLOMA IN HEALTH PROMOTION AND EDUCATION
(Location of Training is Satellite Campus, Okeho)
4 credit passes in GCE, SSCE, NECO or Grade II, to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science and any one(1) subject.
Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)
B. DIPLOMA FOR ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIANS
(Location of Training is Satellite Campus, Okeho)
i. 4 credit passes in GCE/WASCE or NECO in English Language, Biology/Health Science and any two of the followings: Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry and Agric Science, and ordinary pass in any other subject.
ii. Holders of Certificate for Environmental Health Assistant (EHA), Dental Surgery Assistants, JCHEW and any other related programmes with two years’ post qualification experience can also apply to be admitted into 200 level provided they fulfill the entry requirement in (i) above.

C. NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY
5 Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)

D. DIPLOMA IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
5 Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any other two subjects from Economics, Biology or Chemistry.
Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)
3. DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH
A. DIPLOMA IN COMMUNITY HEALTH (CHEW)
i. WASCE, SSCE, NECO or GCE O/L with (5) credits at more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Duration : 3 years (Six Semesters)
ii. Junior Community Extension Workers with 2 years’ post qualification experience in addition to the above requirement mentioned, and applicant MUST be registered with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and posses a valid practice license.
Duration: 2 Years (Four Semesters)
B. CERTIFICATE IN COMMUNITY HEALTH (JCHEW)
5 credit passes in WASCE or NECO Examination in English, Mathematics, Biology and any other two subjects at not more than two sittings.

4. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
A. PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
5 credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, Chemistry or Physics and any other subject at not more than two sittings.
