Just in: A one-time KWASU Students Union President, Lawal Azeez Okikiola, won the award for the Best Abstract Poster Presentation at the ECOWAS Lassa fever International Conference held at Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The conference, themed “Beyond Borders: Strengthening Regional Cooperation to Combat Lassa Fever and Emerging Infectious Diseases,” brought together global experts to advance research and strengthen outbreak response across West Africa. Lawal’s achievement showcases his dedication to addressing pressing health issues in the region.
