We are pleased to inform the general public, prospective students, and JAMB candidates that Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo has been officially approved by JAMB as a CBT (Computer-Based Test) Centre.

✅ Candidates can now register and write JAMB examinations at the Benue State Polytechnic CBT Centre, Ugbokolo.
This development will greatly reduce travel stress and improve access for candidates within Okpokwu LGA and surrounding areas.

Dear Graduating Students,

🎓 Guidelines for Graduation Signing-Out Celebration

As you prepare to celebrate this significant milestone, the management wishes to remind you of the standards of conduct expected during the signing-out festivities.

The following activities are strictly prohibited:
1️⃣ Breaking bottles or consuming alcoholic beverages on or near school premises.
2️⃣ Dangerous or reckless driving within the school environment and surrounding areas.
3️⃣ Spraying of money during celebrations.

Departments whose members engage in any of the above violations will face serious consequences.
If the specific individuals responsible cannot be identified, the entire department’s results will be withheld until the matter is resolved.

We encourage you to celebrate this achievement joyfully and responsibly.
Your conduct reflects not only on yourselves but also on the reputation of this institution.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Usman David Kuti, former Rector of Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo.

Dr. Kuti reportedly died on Saturday evening in Makurdi after a protracted battle with heart-related complications.

During his tenure as Rector, he led the institution through a period of remarkable growth and transformation — overseeing significant infrastructure upgrades, the integration of digital innovations, and the strengthening of academic standards. His leadership was widely respected, and he earned praise for placing the Polytechnic on a path of progress and relevance.

A native of Apa Local Government Area, Dr. Kuti was a distinguished scholar. He held degrees from ABU Zaria and UNN (first degree in 1985, master’s in 2003, doctorate in 2011). He was a man of faith, known for speaking multiple languages (including English, Hausa, Idoma, Igala), and was deeply committed to educational development in Benue State and beyond.

His passing is a grievous loss — not just to BenPoly and its community, but to the educational landscape of Benue State. His legacy of service, innovation, and integrity will long endure.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, students, and all who knew and admired him.

May his soul rest in peace.

Our Digital and Capacity Rector in Action! 🌟

The Rector of Benue State Polytechnic, Arc. Dr. Henry Ojobo, continues to demonstrate his unwavering commitment to the welfare of our students. During a recent interactive session with the student body, a concern was raised about the state of the school clinic. In his usual proactive manner, the Rector assured students that the era of seeking medical attention outside the campus will soon be a thing of the past, as plans to upgrade the school clinic are already underway.

In line with this commitment, our visionary Rector recently met with the Chief Medical Director of Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Dr. Hwande Terungwa. This strategic engagement marks a bold step toward improving healthcare services for both the polytechnic and the Ugbokolo community.

Following the meeting, the Rector shared:
“Thanks to the workaholic CMD of BSUTH, Dr. Hwande Terungwa, for the inspiration. We look forward to a strategic partnership with BSUTH to enhance medical services at the Benue State Polytechnic clinic and extend quality healthcare to Ugbokolo and surrounding areas. Together, we are strengthening healthcare delivery across Benue State!”
