"The opportunity is in the problem."
Every challenge hides a possibility waiting to be uncovered.
When others see obstacles, visionaries see openings.
💡The moment you identify a problem — that’s your cue to innovate, create, and lead.

MYLI Africa: A breakdown of 7 key lessons from his early days as an entrepreneur by Strive Masiyiwa;
1. Acquire Skills:
Acquiring new skills involves a conscious effort to learn and develop new abilities, typically through training, practice, and experience. This process can lead to personal and professional growth, offering benefits like increased job satisfaction, greater career flexibility, and enhanced creativity.

How to effectively acquire new skills:
1. Identify and Prioritize:
• Choose relevant skills:
Determine which skills align with your goals and interests, whether they are technical or soft skills.
• Assess your current skill level:
Understand your starting point to gauge the effort required for improvement.
• Set clear goals:
Define specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals to stay motivated and track progress.

2. Choose Effective Learning Methods:
• Formal training:
Consider online courses, workshops, or certifications to gain structured knowledge. Register at our Centre for Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CCIE) to take any of these.
• Informal learning:
Utilize resources like books, articles, and online platforms to explore specific topics and practice independently. You're doing just that by reading this and also accessing our rich articles on our community platform (www.myliafrica.com)
• Seek mentorship:
Find a mentor or coach who can provide guidance and feedback on your progress. We have Subject Matter Experts, 1-on-1 mentoring, and our unique YE-Boardroom services once you register as a member!
• Hands-on experience:
Engage in practical exercises, projects, or even volunteer work to apply your new skills. Come experience real project/task-based work with our MYLI-FIT, where you earn while learning!

While "always" might be a strong word, demonstrating excellence in entrepreneurship significantly increases the likelihood of being noticed and succeeding. Entrepreneurs who consistently deliver high-quality products or services, innovate, and build strong relationships are more likely to attract customers, investors, and partners. However, success also depends on factors like market conditions, competition, and the ability to adapt to change.
Here's why excellence matters:
• Customer Attraction and Retention:
Excellent products or services create satisfied customers, leading to repeat business and positive word-of-mouth, which is crucial for growth.
• Differentiation and Competitive Advantage:
In a crowded marketplace, excelling in a specific area (e.g., customer service, product quality, or unique features) can help an entrepreneur stand out from the competition.
• Attracting Investment and Partnerships:
Investors and partners are more likely to support ventures that demonstrate a commitment to excellence and have a strong track record.
• Building a Strong Reputation:
Excellence in one area can create a positive reputation that extends to other aspects of the business, making it easier to attract talent, build trust, and secure opportunities.
