Alhamdulillah! Today, Saturday, 22nd August 2026, MSSN Borno Area Unit conducted an Instructors’ Workshop at Brothers’ Camp (ATC), Maiduguri, in preparation for the 6th Annual State Islamic Vacation Course (IVC).

The workshop focused on effective teaching, guidance, teamwork, and proper preparation for the successful delivery of the IVC.

MSSN BORNO AREA UNIT — 6TH ANNUAL STATE ISLAMIC VACATION COURSE (IVC)

VENUE INSPECTION & CLEAN-UP EXERCISE

ALHAMDULILLAH! Today, 22nd August 2026, the leadership of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Borno Area Unit, carried out an inspection and clean-up exercise at the venue of the 6th Annual State Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) in preparation for the arrival of participants.

The exercise was aimed at ensuring that the venue is clean, safe, organized, and fully prepared to receive our brothers and sisters arriving for this important Islamic and educational programme.

As participants begin arriving today, we warmly welcome everyone to Maiduguri and pray that Allah SWT grants safe journeys to all participants, facilitators, guests, and organizers.

The IVC is more than just a programme; it is an opportunity for Islamic knowledge, leadership development, spiritual growth, brotherhood and unity, and academic and personal development.

May ALLAH SWT bless this gathering, make it beneficial to all participants, and grant us the strength to uphold and re-establish Islamic values in our society.

🌍 ZARA MUHAMMAD IDRIS SPOKE FOR A CHANGING EARTH

16-year-old Zara Muhammad Idris from Borno State, performing under the stage name Xerhra m_i, presented her poem titled “WHEN THE EARTH FORGOT HOW TO SMILE.” 🎙️🌱

Through her poem, Zara explored the growing impact of climate change on the Earth, drawing attention to the effects on rivers, trees, forests, and the natural environment. Her words painted an emotional picture of a planet struggling under the weight of environmental changes. 🌳🌊🌎

Her performance encouraged the audience to think about the consequences of human actions on nature and the importance of protecting the environment. Zara reminded us that the Earth provides the resources that sustain life, and caring for it is a responsibility we all share. 🌿💧☀️

Towards the end of her piece, she delivered a simple but powerful call to action: plant something. 🌱❤️ Whether it is a tree, a seed, or something that contributes to a greener environment, every positive action can become part of the solution.

At just 16, Zara used poetry not only to express herself but also to educate and inspire the audience about climate change, environmental responsibility, and the need to protect the planet for future generations. 👏✨

Her performance was a beautiful blend of poetry, environmental awareness, and a call for collective responsibility. A young voice speaking for the Earth. 🌍🌳🎭

Her impactful performance earned her a place in the Arewa Regional Finals, which will take place in Abuja. 🏆🇳🇬

🏆 FATIMA ABUBAKAR BINAWA DELIVERED AN OUTSTANDING ARABIC POETRY PERFORMANCE!

Fatima Abubakar Binawa, a 19-year-old 300-level pharmacy student at the prestigious University of Maiduguri, hails from Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State in Northern Borno. Performing under the stage name fb_binawa, she presented her Arabic poetry piece, “Baqiya Qaleel” (بَقِيَّةٌ قَلِيلَةٌ). 🎙️📝✨

Fatima delivered the poem in Arabic with remarkable articulation, confidence, and clarity. Her command of the language and expressive presentation made the performance particularly engaging, while the message resonated with the audience. ❤️

Through “Baqiya Qaleel,” Fatima encouraged people to work harder, remain prayerful, hold firmly to their faith, and ultimately entrust their affairs to Allah, knowing that He understands what is best for each person. Her performance carried a message of patience, perseverance, faith, and hope. 💯🔥
