Today, Hon. Grema Terab graced the Morning Assembly, at Mustapha Umar El-kanemi Al-azhar Institute, Maiduguri where he passionately emphasized the priceless importance of education in building disciplined minds and a strong society. His words reminded students that knowledge is not merely a path to success, but a responsibility to serve humanity.

The assembly was further honored by the presence of esteemed Egyptian scholars, whose attendance added depth, dignity, and inspiration to the occasion.

A moment of great pride unfolded as one of the school’s most dedicated teachers, Fatima M. Alkali, a distinguished Hafizat of the Holy Qur’an, beautifully recited the Qur’an entirely from memory. Her recitation reflected years of patience, sincerity, and unwavering devotion to Allah and knowledge.

In recognition of her remarkable achievement, the respected scholars proudly presented her with a certificate of excellence, celebrating not only her memorization but her role as a model of faith, discipline, and inspiration.

Indeed, when knowledge walks hand in hand with faith, greatness is inevitable.

TODAY’S ASSEMBLY ADDRESS – AL-AZHAR INSTITUTE, MAIDUGURI
Today’s morning assembly was a moment of inspiration and encouragement at Al-Azhar Institute, Maiduguri. The Coordinator, Alhaji Grema Terab, personally addressed both staff and students, emphasizing the importance of discipline, punctuality, and commitment to excellence.
In recognition of punctuality and dedication, the Coordinator rewarded ten (10) outstanding students who arrived at school before 7:00 a.m. Each of the selected students was presented with the sum of ₦10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira) as a token of motivation and encouragement.
In the same spirit, ten (10) committed teachers who demonstrated exemplary punctuality and dedication to duty were also rewarded with ₦10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira) each. This gesture was aimed at appreciating their continuous efforts and inspiring others to uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
Furthermore, the Coordinator strongly emphasized that punctuality is non-negotiable, stating clearly that all students must be present in school on or before 7:30 a.m. He stressed that early arrival promotes discipline, effective learning, and overall academic excellence.
Alhaji Grema Terab concluded by urging both students and staff to see punctuality as a pathway to success, character building, and the growth of Al-Azhar Institute. He reaffirmed the management’s commitment to rewarding positive behavior and fostering a culture of excellence within the institution.

وذلك تحت رعاية ومباركة الإمام الأكبر فضيلة الأستاذ الدكتور/ أحمد الطيب، شيخ الأزهر -حفظه الله تعالى- وإشراف فضيلة الأستاذ الدكتور/ محمد عبد الرحمن الضويني، وكيل الأزهر، وفضيلة الشيخ/ أيمن عبد الغني، رئيس قطاع المعاهد الأزهرية، وتنفيذ الإدارة العامة لشئون القرآن الكريم بقطاع المعاهد الأزهرية.

ثمّ ارتقيتَ مديرًا للهدى فغدَا ** معهدُنا صرحَ علمٍ طابَ للظفرِ
نشرْتَ في الأرضِ نورَ الحقِّ مقتدِيًا ** بخيرِ من شرّفَ الدنيا بِمُقتَدَرِ

فاللهُ يحفظُكَ المولى ويكرمُكَ ** ويسكبُ الفضلَ في دربٍ لمُفتَخَرِ
