HON. COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION EXTENDS WORKING VISIT TO NGANZAI, GUZAMALA AND MONGUNO

.. Lunches free School Bus service, enrolls out of school children, distributes uniforms, bags and books in Monguno.

.. Promises to support Nganzai with School enrolment items and approves building materials in the Ministry store for the rehabilitation of Mega School Gajiram.

.. Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) gets an additional vehicle.

Honorable Commissioner of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe undertook two days working visit to Nganzai, Guzamala, and Monguno LGA on Monday the 2nd and Tuesday the 3rd of October, 2023.

Before commencement of the tour Engr. Wakilbe handed over a refurbished Volkswagen Gulf Wagon to Engr. Zakari Ahamed Coordinator TVET unit in the Ministry.

The Commissioner at Monguno launched the free School Bus service with one bus and informed the community that His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum has directed deployment of two buses. The Commissioner also distributed books, uniforms, bags, shoes, and other school items purchased by the government to boost school enrolment. He further took the names of all teachers present at their duty post and commended the LGA Chairmen Alh Kyari Ibrahim for distributing bicycles to school children.

However, At Marari, Ari Gambori, and Goram, the commissioner expressed displesure with the level of work and directed the education secretary to effect all observations before his next visit.

Similarly, At Gajiram, the Commissioner was received by the council Chairman Honorable Bukar Modu. Engr Wakilbe commended the Chairman stressing that he has changed the narrative and schooling is picking up well in Nganzai LGA. He promised to support the LGA with back to school items and rehabilitation of the Mega School Gajiram.

The Commissioner was accompanied by Abdullahi Kabura Director of Quality Assurance Services (MOEST&I), Kachalla Ali Director of Quality Assurance (SUBEB), Babagana Zannah Director of Schools Services (SUBEB), Babagana Bulama (TSB), Engr. Audu Alh. Audu Director of Entrepreneurship Studies, Engr. Zakari Ahmed Coordinator TVET among others.
