NEUTRAL VIEWS ON PREMARITAL S*X...
Religion is vehemently against fornication - s*x before marriage. Despite religion being against pre-marital s*x, young Nigerians are having more s*x than ever.
The Bible is against premarital S*x.
1 Corinthians 6:18: “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body, but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.”
The Quran speaks against it too. Surah Al-Furqan 68 says “... and do not commit unlawful s*xual in*******se. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.”
I asked single, young, Christian and Muslims how important s*x is to them when dating;
Ade, 24, “It's impossible for me to be in a relationship without s*x. If I like you, I want your body. S*x is part of my own physical love language. ”
“The Bible doesn’t say we should have s*x without getting married. It talks about s*x outside wedlock.”
Mark C., 23, says; “I don't think s*x is important because s*x is just an activity people do to enjoy themselves. I don't see it as lo******ng if I am giving it out to you before getting married because r**e is still s*x. Maybe, my perception will change, but right now, I don’t think we have to have s*x if we must date."
Fati K., 28, “We are not dating until we have s*x. If we are not having s*x, we are just guys, we are just colleagues. As for what the Bible says, I don't fornicate, I make love.”
Hauwa, 29, “Yes, I can have a relationship without s*x but is hard because women want it and men need it."
"It is as important as food because it gives pleasure. Konji does not respect religious beliefs. The first time you have s*x, you feel guilty and then you get used to it.”
Blessing, 26, “I can’t have a relationship without s*x because I love s*x, if he doesn’t want s*x then he should be affectionate, kissing, cuddling and other s*xual activity.”
Ahmed, 24, “I can’t even do talking stages without s*x. The Quran says we should drink or lie, and I still do it so, what is s*x?”
"Plus, the age at which we get married this days does not make holding off s*x easy. I also think determining s*xual compatibility is important."
Yakubu, 23, “I grew up in a religious home, but I can’t be in a relationship and not have s*x. Would we be romancing every time? It’ll get boring now.”
Ahmad, 29, “S*x is not that important to me. I can be in a relationship without s*x. Fornication is a sin in Christianity”.
Now, having read views of people on s*x outside wedlock, what it your personal view on it? What do you think?
