Welcome to Episode 2 of The Nigerian MEP Career Series! 🔧🏗️

MEP is much bigger than Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing. From Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, Solar, BIM/Revit, Project Engineering, Cost Engineering, HSE, Testing & Commissioning, Facility Management to opportunities for technicians, craftsmen and artisans, there are many ways to build a career in Nigeria’s construction and real estate industry.

🎓 Whether you're a student, graduate, engineer, technician or artisan, choose a path, learn a valuable skill, gain practical experience and build competence.

Don't just ask, “What job can I get?”

Ask: “What valuable problem can I learn to solve?” 💡

Don't just graduate. Build capacity. Build competence. Build your career.

I'm your favourite MEP Project Engineer, GOODLUCK UDEH.

With me, anyone who wants to learn can become an MEP Professional. 🚀

🚨 Many Engineering Graduates Still Don’t Know About MEP!

During an NSE mentorship programme where I served as a mentor, I was surprised to discover that some engineering graduates had never heard of MEP Engineering.

That’s one major reason I’m creating this MEP Ecosystem Series, to educate, create awareness and help more people discover the opportunities within MEP.

Let's be honest!

Your degree teaches you what to know. Experience teaches you what to do. Cultural Intelligence teaches you how to navigate people and environments. In today's global workplace, all three matter

Learn a Skill That Can Take Care of You for Life 🔧⚡

When I say learn a skill that can take good care of you even as you grow older, some people think I’m talking about getting another job.

No.

I’m talking about building capacity.

Learn MEP Engineering. Learn Technology. Develop a skill. Build competence. Become valuable.

The world is changing, and the era of relying on quick money and unsustainable shortcuts is gradually fading. As we say in Naija, “Yahoo Yahoo e go soon clear for people eye.” 😂

But a genuine skill?
Nobody can take that away from you.

With the right knowledge, experience and consistency, you can work on projects, solve real-world problems, build a career, start a business, train others and create opportunities for yourself and others.

If you're serious about learning MEP Engineering and building a sustainable career, especially if you're in Lagos or Abuja, feel free to reach out to me.

This is one of the ways I want to contribute to the next generation of professionals, by helping serious-minded people acquire practical skills and build a future they can be proud of.

Don't just look for money. Become valuable.

I’m your favourite MEP Project Engineer, and with me, anyone who is willing to learn can become an MEP Professional. 🚀

QUESTION OF THE DAY 💧🔧

Do you know the difference between a Hydrostatic Test and a Flow Test in plumbing?

They may both be used to verify plumbing installations, but they serve different purposes and check different aspects of the system.

Before I share my explanation, I want to hear from the plumbing and MEP professionals here. 👇

What is the difference between a Hydrostatic Test and a Flow Test, and when would you carry out each one?

Let's hear your thoughts in the comment section. 👇

I will be waiting in the comment section
