Today, we are reminded of our commitment to the Earth.

Of the role we each play in protecting nature and the responsibility we share in safeguarding Nigeria’s rich biodiversity.

Because when we protect the Earth, it in turn, sustains us.

The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), with the Lekki Bird Club, invites you to a practical field education session focused on local avian biodiversity.

Our goal is to shift perspective from simply ‘looking’ at nature to actively observing it.

Join us as we explore the habitats of Victoria Garden City and learn how to identify various bird species.

There is a specific kind of focus that happens when you’re planting a tree.

A quiet, determined energy, As we approach Earth Day 2026 these images serve as a powerful reminder that the environment doesn’t just need our “awareness”.
it needs our agency.

In just a few days, the world will turn its collective gaze toward the soil, the sea, and the sky.

We’ll see the viral videos of reforestation and the high production montages of our planet’s natural wonders.

But as we approach this Earth Day, the real anticipation isn’t found in a single day of global fanfare; it’s found in the intervals.

I see you, Mother Earth! 🌍
Did you know that Nigeria is home to some of the most unique biodiversity in West Africa?

From the canopy of Lekki to the depths of our wetlands, there is so much to see and even more to protect.

As we count down to April 22nd, we challenge you to step outside. What’s one thing in nature you’ve been taking for granted?

Starting our week with a look back at where it all begins: curiosity.

This may be ordinary pictures, but the mission remains the same.
Environmental education isn’t just a subject; it’s an experience.

Watching these students navigate the boardwalk reminds us that the best way to teach conservation is to let them walk right through it.

Let’s carry this energy into the new week protecting what we love starts with understanding it.

The day has passed,
but the trees are still waiting…

Waiting for us to choose better,
to do better,
to care longer than a moment.

International Day of Forests 2026

23/03/2026

When we lose forests, we lose more than trees.

We lose biodiversity, clean air, and a stable climate.
The future is green let’s protect it.
No forests = no life 🌳
Protect what protects you

21/03/2026

Today, we celebrate the power of forests to sustain life and livelihoods.
Let’s keep working together to protect what truly matters.
