Building a Safer School Community James Hope College Staff Take Part in Safety Training”

Safety remains an important part of creating a secure and supportive environment for our students and staff.

The entire staff of James Hope College participated in a practical safety and first aid training session focused on strengthening our preparedness for emergencies and promoting a strong culture of safety within the school community.

The session covered important areas including first aid response, CPR and basic life-saving techniques, emergency preparedness, fire safety measures, workplace safety and appropriate responses to unexpected situations. Staff members also had the opportunity to participate in practical demonstrations, gaining hands-on experience in responding to emergencies.

The training provided valuable reminders that knowing what to do in an emergency can make a significant difference. Beyond understanding safety procedures, it also emphasised the importance of staying calm, acting responsibly and being prepared to protect and assist others when necessary.

At James Hope College, we remain committed to the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of every member of our school community. Continuous training and preparedness are essential to maintaining an environment where everyone can learn, work and thrive with confidence.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

CAREER & UNIVERSITY GUIDANCE SESSION

A memorable and engaging session at James Hope College as our students participated in meaningful conversations around career choices, university opportunities, admission processes and preparing for life beyond secondary school.

The session gave our students the opportunity to hear directly from professionals with international experience, ask questions and gain a broader perspective on the many possibilities available to them.

Beyond choosing a career or university, the session encouraged our students to think ahead, explore their interests and begin making informed decisions about the future they want to build.

At James Hope College, we continue to create opportunities that connect our students with the wider world and inspire them to dream, explore and prepare for what lies ahead.

Every conversation can open a door. Every opportunity can shape a future. 🌍✨

EXPLORING FUTURES: CAREER & UNIVERSITY GUIDANCE SESSION

At James Hope College, we believe that helping students prepare for the future goes beyond the classroom.

Our students from Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 recently had the opportunity to engage with delegates and university representatives from the USA, UK, France, Canada and other parts of Europe during an insightful career and university guidance session.

The session provided our students with valuable information on making informed career choices, preparing for university, understanding admission requirements and exploring opportunities available to them beyond Nigeria.

It was also a great opportunity for our students to ask questions, learn from international experiences and gain a clearer understanding of the different pathways that can lead them towards their future goals.

At James Hope College, we remain committed to exposing our students to opportunities, encouraging them to dream boldly and equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about their future.

The future starts with the choices we make today. 🌍🎓
