Some of the most consequential decisions within great institutions are made far from the spotlight.

They do not happen in auditoriums, classrooms, or public ceremonies, but in quieter, more intentional spaces where leadership, strategy, vision and long-term impact converge.

At Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, one of those defining spaces is the Deanโ€™s Office Suite, named by Citibank Nigeria Limited.

This naming right represents far more than visibility or corporate presence. It reflects a powerful alignment between two institutions committed to leadership, institutional excellence and Africaโ€™s economic advancement.

For more than four decades, Citibank has played a significant role in Nigeriaโ€™s financial ecosystem through global banking expertise, financial innovation and strategic support for economic growth and enterprise development. Lagos Business School, on the other hand, has spent decades developing responsible business leaders, entrepreneurs, and executives shaping industries across Africa and beyond.

Together, this reflects the kind of partnership that strengthens institutions and builds enduring legacy.

Over the years, the Deanโ€™s Office Suite has served as the leadership base of successive Deans of the School, including:
โ€ข Professor Albert Alos
โ€ข Professor Juan Elegido
โ€ข Professor Enase Okonedo
โ€ข Professor Chris Ogbechie
โ€ข Professor Olayinka David-West (Current Dean)

Across their tenures, this space, comprising the Deanโ€™s Office, boardroom and reception area, has remained central to the governance and strategic direction of Lagos Business School. It is where institutional priorities are refined, critical decisions are thoughtfully considered, and the long-term vision of the School continues to be shaped and strengthened.

More than an administrative office, it serves as a strategic hub for leadership engagement, executive conversations and institutional collaboration.

Over time, the suite has welcomed ambassadors, policymakers, senior executives, delegates from globally renowned organisations and representatives of leading international business schools. For many visitors, it offers a first-hand experience of the leadership culture, academic excellence and institutional depth that define Lagos Business School.

Because institutions are not only defined by what is visible in public.

They are equally shaped behind closed doors, in the rooms where ideas are tested, partnerships are strengthened, while the future is defined with clarity, purpose and intention.

Thank you, Citibank Nigeria Limited, for your enduring commitment to leadership continuity, institutional excellence and the advancement of world-class business education in Africa.

The institutions that endure are not built on relevance alone; they are built on legacy. The ability to evolve across generations while continuing to shape industries, economies, and people.

Union Bank of Nigeria exemplifies this legacy.

For over a century, Union Bank of Nigeria has remained one of Nigeriaโ€™s most recognisable and enduring financial institutions, known for its resilience, innovation, and longstanding contribution to the countryโ€™s economic development. Its story is one of continuity, trust, and transformation across generations.

That same spirit of long-term impact is reflected in its partnership with Lagos Business School.

As one of Nigeriaโ€™s historic banking institutions, Union Bankโ€™s presence at LBS extends beyond corporate visibility. It is embedded in the very first experience of the School through the Union Bank Entrance Vestibule and Porch, the gateway into an environment where leaders are shaped and ideas that influence industries and economies begin to take form.

Before the classroom discussions, executive sessions, and strategic conversations begin, this is where the LBS experience first unfolds. It is the point of arrival for executives, participants, faculty, alumni, and guests entering a community committed to leadership, excellence, and transformation.

The Porch has also become one of the Schoolโ€™s most recognisable spaces, where participants and executives capture milestone moments, celebrate achievements, and take many of the iconic photographs that become lasting memories of the LBS experience.

More than a physical space, it represents transition, from routine into reflection, from ambition into preparation, and from experience into growth.

This is what meaningful partnership looks like: not merely attaching a name to a structure, but aligning with an institution dedicated to shaping Africaโ€™s future leaders.

As Lagos Business School continues to expand its academic and infrastructural footprint, we are inviting visionary organisations and individuals to help shape the future of leadership on the continent.
Your partnership will not simply exist within a building. It will become part of the experiences, conversations, and decisions that influence generations of leaders to come.

The most impactful investments in a world-class institution are often the ones working quietly behind the scenes.

At Lagos Business School, we are proud to recognise the naming of the LBS Server Room in honour of ipNX Nigeria Limited and Telnet Nigeria.

This critical facility serves as the digital backbone of our academic and executive education operations, powering data systems, global communications platforms and technology-enabled learning experiences around the clock. By supporting and naming this space, our partners have made a lasting investment in the silent infrastructure that sustains institutional excellence.

This partnership brings together two distinguished leaders in Nigeriaโ€™s technology landscape:

โ–ธ ipNX Nigeria Limited - a premier provider of broadband and fibre connectivity, recognised for delivering high-performance digital infrastructure across Nigeria.

โ–ธ Telnet Nigeria - a trusted leader in enterprise technology and integrated communications solutions, serving some of Nigeriaโ€™s most complex organisations.

What elevates this partnership from significant to extraordinary is the story behind it.

Both companies are led by distinguished members of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association - LBSAA, executives who did not simply pass through LBS, but were profoundly shaped by it, and have chosen to give back in a way that will outlast any of us.

โ–ธ Ejovi Aror - Group Managing Director, ipNX Nigeria Limited, Executive MBA (EMBA) Cohort 2

Under his leadership, ipNX has grown into one of Nigeria's premier broadband and fibre connectivity providers, delivering high-performance digital infrastructure to homes, businesses, and institutions across the country.

โ–ธ Sanya Milton Ogunbusua - Group Managing Director, Telnet Nigeria Limited, Executive MBA (EMBA) Cohort 19

A seasoned executive and distinguished professional, Sanya has steered Telnet to the forefront of enterprise technology and integrated communications, serving some of Nigeria's most complex and demanding organisations.

Seventeen EMBA cohorts separate these two leaders. A shared sense of purpose unites them.

As Lagos Business School continues to expand its technological capabilities and global reach, we welcome forward-thinking organisations to explore how strategic investment in LBS infrastructure can become an enduring institutional legacy.

Partner with us. Leave a legacy that powers progress.

The institutions that endure are not built on capital alone; they are built on conviction. The conviction that investing in people and places is one of the highest forms of leadership.

UBA Group exemplifies this conviction, and nowhere is that clearer than in its enduring partnership with Lagos Business School.

As one of Africa's most influential financial institutions, UBA's presence extends far beyond corporate visibility. It is woven into the physical and intellectual fabric of our campus, present in the spaces where Africa's future leaders learn, engage, and make decisions that shape industries and economies.

Between formal sessions, this is where another dimension of learning unfolds. Executives, faculty and participants exchange ideas in the informal spaces where classroom insight often becomes boardroom strategy and professional connections evolve into lifelong alliances.

By supporting this space, UBA contributes to something intangible yet essential: academic rigour. The standards, systems and integrity that uphold the value of a Lagos Business School - MBA not only in Nigeria, but across the continent.

The partnership extends into Executive Education, where UBA and Lagos Business School have collaborated on programmes designed to equip senior leaders with the strategic depth, resilience, and cross-border perspective required to navigate the complexities of African markets.

This is what meaningful partnership looks like: not a transaction, but a long-term alignment between institutions committed to shaping Africa's future.

As Lagos Business School continues to expand its academic and infrastructural footprint, we are inviting visionary organisations to help shape the future of leadership on the continent.

Your partnership will not merely occupy a space on a wall. It will live in the minds of the leaders who pass through these halls and in the decisions they will make for generations to come.

Investing in Leadership Infrastructure at Lagos Business School

In Nigeriaโ€™s dynamic financial services sector, resilience and strategic clarity are essential. Since its transition in 2018, Polaris Bank Ltd. has continued to strengthen its position as a customer-focused commercial bank serving individuals, SMEs and corporates across Nigeria. Operating in a highly competitive landscape, the Bank has demonstrated stability, focus and a clear commitment to sustainable growth.

Yet the true legacy of an institution is often defined not only by the services it provides, but by the institutions it chooses to strengthen.

At Lagos Business School, Polaris Bank has made a deliberate investment in leadership development through the sponsorship of a block of Faculty Offices on the ground floor of the School, alongside four Syndicate Rooms that support the Schoolโ€™s learning environment.

The Faculty Offices serve as working spaces for LBS faculty members. Within these offices, lesson plans are developed, case studies are refined, research is supervised, and students receive academic mentoring and guidance. Much of the intellectual preparation that underpins the LBS classroom experience takes place here.

Polaris Bankโ€™s support also extends to four Syndicate Rooms, which serve participants across MBA programmes across all cohorts, as well as a broad portfolio of Executive Education programmes delivered at Lagos Business School.

Within these rooms, participants engage in structured discussions, case analysis and collaborative learning. Founders, directors and senior executives exchange perspectives, challenge assumptions and develop insights that influence major organisational decisions across industries. Leadership development thrives in environments intentionally designed for dialogue, reflection and peer learning.

By supporting both Faculty Offices and Syndicate Rooms, Polaris Bank is investing in the infrastructure that sustains executive learning, knowledge creation and leadership development at scale.
Philanthropy creates impact.

Institutional partnership builds legacy.

When an organisationโ€™s name is associated with a space within a leading business school, it becomes part of the daily experience of current and future leaders. It reflects a commitment to education, enterprise and long-term national development.

As Lagos Business School continues to expand its facilities and academic footprint, opportunities remain for visionary organisations and individuals to establish an enduring presence within the Schoolโ€™s learning environment.

Polaris Bank has taken that step.

Forward-looking organisations recognise that influence is not only built through business success, but also through the institutions they help strengthen.

Is your organisation ready to secure a lasting presence where Africaโ€™s most consequential leadership decisions are shaped?

The Architecture of Influence at Lagos Business School

At Lagos Business School, leadership is not confined to executive classrooms.

It is shaped in the moments between, where conversations turn into commitments and ideas evolve into enterprise.

We proudly spotlight SevenUp Bottling Company (SBC), whose legacy is embedded in one of the most strategic hubs on our campus: the LBS Restaurant.

These exchanges happen daily across our MBA programmes, Executive Education, custom corporate programmes and high-level seminar series, within a space made possible through SBCโ€™s visionary partnership.

The LBS Restaurant sits at the centre of thousands of high-value leadership interactions each year.

This is not sponsorship.
This is presence within Africaโ€™s leadership pipeline.

Through an expansive portfolio including Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, Aquafina, Lipton Ice Tea and Supa Komando, SBC has refreshed generations while contributing meaningfully to Nigeriaโ€™s industrial growth.

Its partnership with LBS reflects something deeper, an alignment with the ideas and decisions that shape markets.

How does a financial powerhouse ensure its impact outlives its balance sheet? By investing in the infrastructure of future leadership.

As we launch our Corporate Legacy Spotlight, we are proud to feature Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO), a pioneer in African finance and a global benchmark for excellence.

Beyond its recent milestone as the first Nigerian financial institution to cross the โ‚ฆ1 trillion profit mark in a half-year, GTCO has been consistently recognised as Nigeriaโ€™s Best Bank in CSR (Euromoney 2024). From the 15-year success of the Orange Ribbon Autism Initiative to empowering thousands of entrepreneurs through the GTCO Food & Drink Festival and Fashion Weekend, its commitment to social progress is unmatched.

At Lagos Business School (LBS), this vision is immortalised in the GTCO Classroom. This state-of-the-art hybrid hub serves as a high-traffic centre for transformation, hosting:

๐ŸŽ“ The Lagos Business School - MBA Suites: Nurturing the innovators of our Modular MBA (MMBA), Executive MBA (EMBA), and Modular Executive MBA (MEMBA), the minds driving Africaโ€™s next economic boom.

๐Ÿ‘” Executive Education: Lagos Business School: Providing the space where leading executives in programmes such as the Advanced Management Programme (AMP), Senior Management Programme (SMP), Owner-Manager Programme (OMP), and Management Acceleration Programme (MAP) refine their global strategies.

๐ŸŒ Customised Programmes: Enabling multinational organisations and government agencies to solve complex, real-world problems in a world-class environment.

The Power of a Permanent Presence
When a brand like GTCO names a space at LBS, they are not just funding a room; they are securing a permanent presence where Africaโ€™s most consequential business decisions are shaped. This investment ensures the GTCO brand remains synonymous with integrity, innovation and leadership.

An Invitation to Lead
Lagos Business School is the home of African excellence. We invite other forward-thinking organisations to join our elite circle of Legacy Partners. A naming opportunity here is a strategic investment in brand equity, human capital, and the future of our continent.

Will your organisation be the next to shape the future of African business?
