Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th September 2021 were days to brainstorm and reflect on the way forward when NTA News got more than 50 news staff together for a training workshop. It was no holds barred. The DG challenged all participants to open up to learning. That also meant the Resource Persons of Mrs Stella Din-Jacob of TVC, Chukwudi Ugbaja of Channels TV Academy, Cyril Stober of NTA and Soni Irabor of the Soni Irabor Institute of Media and Communications (SIIMC) had to leave a lasting impression on the participants who in turn must be open to learning. It was a promising conclusion. Of course COVID-19 protocol was observed to the fullest.

A three-day Management Retreat at IITA, Ibadan for Westmidland Communications Ltd, was organised by the Soni Irabor Institute of Media and Communications (SIIMC), from February 19 to February 21, 2021. Expert facilitators included Dr Richard Ikiebe of SMC Pan Atlantic University, Boma Kalaiwo, Broadcast Trainer and former Zonal Director, FRCN, Lagos, Funke Treasure Durodola, Broadcast Trainer and Fmr GM Radio One and fmr Assistant Director, FRCN Lagos, Mr Lanre Adisa, MD/CEO Noah's Ark and Eki Adzufeh, Executive Secretary MIPAN. In attendance were, the MD/CEO of Westmidland Communications Ltd, Mrs Atinuke Adetunji and GM Operations, Tunde Olawuwo and many other members of management as well as Douglas Akhibi and Soni Irabor of SIIMC.
