Job's Wife...Through it All

We talk so much about the Famous Job in the bible. Yet, little or no mention is made about his wife apart from when she urged him to curse God and die, due to the many calamities that was brought upon them. Although we can not excuse her advice as right, yet she exuded every human attribute we all have: the tendency to get cowered by circumstances and blame it on God.

Nevertheless, I strongly believe that this woman rose above and beyond this moment of pain and blame and pressed on through their trials together. Why do I think so? Because through her God gave Job another set of sons and daughters to replace those lost in the fire. If these children were from a different woman, the bible would have specified. Moreover, it would not have really felt like a blessing in its truest form if he had to re-marry.

One of my projects this week was God tutoring me on being a Vessel for His Use. He led me to 1Tim2:20-21; “In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets—some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage. Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.”

I have pondered over this all week, trying to figure out what utensil fits into my job description or purpose in the Kingdom of God. Although I thought I'd liken myself to fine china used honorably to be a blessing. But then again, the compost bag also has its use. It takes out trash and ensures the kitchen is tidy. So what Utensil am I?.....http://tzedekterebinth.blogspot.com.ng/2016/08/what-utensil-am-i.html

A Relational God

She walked into the church with her make up on, a fitted trouser and her long weave. She didn't even tie a scarf! Her blouse was fitted yet not revealing. In her heart she was dressed modestly, yet she attracted stares from everyone seated in the pews. Just after she took her seat, A young man walked in behind her. He looked dashing, with his hair weaved and studs on his ears. He wore a ragged jeans and a very long chain on his neck. They were both summoned by the ushers at the end of the service. Seated in front of the council of elders, they were being scolded and schooled on how they were headed for Hell because of their appearance.

I do not know what to do anymore. I have prayed, fasted, exercised faith, confessed God's promise about the circumstances I find myself in. I have sown seeds, monetary and otherwise. I have focused on all the positive things, birthing visual images in my mind of how things would look when God eventually comes through on this matter. Yet, nothing has happened. Could I be doing something wrong? Is there something I did from my past that is currently affecting me? Are there words that have been spoken against me? Is the blood of the new covenant not supposed to shield me from the consequences of the past? These questions and more could be lingering on your mind, while you wait for God to show up for you.

When You have dreams You are solely in charge of following through to implement them and make it happen. Your loved ones need not believe in its realization. Once you've got God, you can achieve whatever heights you set for yourself, but in accordance with His will..
