TOPIC : *FACTORS THAT ENHANCE STRATEGIC THINKING*
"Tell us, therefore, what do you think? .........." -Matthew 22:17 (NKJV)
A change in thinking is not automatic; to become a better strategic thinker, you must invest in yourself. The following tips can enhance strategic thinking if done regularly and intentionally.
*Take in quality information daily*
Ensure you learn something new daily, either from books, the Bible, and social media platforms (e.g., YouTube). Learn something that will edify you or add value to your life.
*Right Association*
Your association determines your assimilation. Listen to good strategic thinkers. Spend time interacting and fellowshipping with people who are deep strategic thinkers.
*Choose to think strategically*.
Strategic thinking is a conscious effort that, with practice, becomes a habit.
*Discover your peak period where you really think strategically.*
You should know the best time of the day when you are relaxed to think properly. Early in the morning or late at night is preferable for many people. You should have a thinking schedule, that is how intentional it can be.
*Do not hide or shy away from challenges.*
Challenges will come but you have to face them. When challenges come, learn to *Pray and worship God. Spend time speaking in tongues (* if you are baptized in the Holy Spirit). These are the grinding processes for strategic thinking for direction as a way out of challenges.
*Act on the product of your thoughts.*
Do not just think about it, you must also act on it. *Think things through, then follow through.*( This is called the six - word formula for success). If you do not 'follow through', you will 'suffer through'. Ideas have a very short shelf life. Act on them early before they slip away.
*Strategic thinking is a lifestyle not an occasional practice.*
