I am the Founder of and a TEF Alumnus.
I applied for the Tony Elumelu Foundation grant in 2017 and got selected as a beneficiary.
The only reason I applied was because it as one of the very few grant programs that didn't cut people like us off with their age restrictions of "35 & below." 'Fossils' and 'endangered species' like us did not 'qualify' for these programs for the simple reason that we 'grew older'.🤦🏾♀️
Last week, I got an invite from the Foundation to attend a high-level Green Ecosystem interactive session with visiting representatives from UNICEF today.
This event was designed as a curated space to connect and network with Green founders.
Who would have thought there could be an intersection between the Care Economy and the Green Ecosystem?
That is what getting into certain rooms and conversations does for you as and Entrepreneur, you're compelled to think wide and deep.
Most innovations are not 'new inventions'. They are 'dead bulbs' waiting to flick on when you walk into certain rooms. They are potentials embedded in your craft waiting to be stirred to life by certain conversations and interactions.
