Today as I celebrate what would have been your 65th birthday, I am reminded of the legacy you left behind: Books written, thousands of students taught, loads of families that love you, and a community that continues to sing your praise etc.
Words are too crippled to begin to give details but i will attempt to do so through this tribute to you.
Some Quotables that come to mind from fellow writers are:
As Charles Dickens once wrote, 'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.' Through the highs and lows, you were there, a beacon of strength and love, just as Jane Austen portrayed the finest of heroines in her novels.
In the words of Maya Angelou, 'You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.' Your resilience, like that of the characters in your favorite novels, taught us to rise above adversity.
Mark Twain once quipped, 'The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.' Your purpose, dear Mother, was clear—to nurture, to love, and to inspire. You did so with grace and unwavering devotion.
T.S. Eliot wrote, 'We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.' Your love and wisdom were our guiding stars, leading us back to the profound understanding of the love we shared.
As William Wordsworth poignantly expressed, 'Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower, we will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind.' Your memory, dear Mother, is the eternal splendor that remains with us.
On this day, we celebrate you, not with tears, but with gratitude for the love and wisdom you shared. Your spirit lives on in the pages of our memories, and your love continues to inspire us, just as the words of legendary writers have inspired generations.
Happy Posthumous birthday dear mum. Your legacy of love & strength will forever illuminate our lives.

Humility is a sure sign of godliness.
James 3:13-18
13 If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. 15 For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. 16 For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.
17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. 18 And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
Ever been in the presence of a know-it-all, it does not take long before you start wishing you were somewhere else.
Humility is an admirable quality that we learn from the life of Jesus. Being equal with God due to the mystery of the trinity (The three in one God. Father, Son and Holy Spirit) he nonetheless adopted the constrictive form of a baby.
Take a minute to imagine going from God, all knowing, all capable; to baby. You have to do what Joseph and Mary say. Imagine God tinkering around in Joseph’s carpenter’s workshop and being scolded for touching his tools.
Then there is the issue of waiting for thirty three years to get your mission started, knowing all the time what it was. Imagine being able to heal the injuries your friends have or raising a few dead people that you love but having to hold back all that ability because Gods time had not yet come.
Thirty three years bursting to get started but being humble enough to wait for the green light from God the Father.
It is difficult to adequately describe this kind of humility, it is just for us to ask daily for God to work this out in us. We dearly need humility to be successful.
O God please endow me with true humility. Amen
Humility is not just through words, it is evident in every action. It is not best witnessed in church, rather in situations out and about in every-day life, how will you react.
I remember one time in a church service I went and sat in the front row of the church reserved for the pastors. Now, I was supposed to sit there being a pastor in the church, I was even ushered there by the ushers. However soon after the service started some other ‘more senior pastors’ turned up and I was asked to get up and go sit somewhere else, oh dear, what an embarrassment.
Humility was tested that day as the sermon could have been a complete waste of time and not registered one bit. I refused to let that night be wasted by the mix up in seating arrangement but I can’t say it did not ni**le me some, so I still have some work to do I guess.
The truth is we all need to get better at it every day and the grander your title the more work you have to do.

Love refreshes everything it touches.
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Reflecting on this scripture, it never ceases to amaze me how current and refreshing it always seems. No matter what time frame you are in, it will always be true that love is the ultimate solution to all of humanities conflicts. Even if you could travel back and forth in time you will still arrive at the same conclusion.
Therefore it is not an outrageous suggestion to say that there should be a global course on ‘Love Thy Neighbor’. This course should be a mandatory class at all levels of education everywhere in the world. Only then will we be able to say that as a species we are advancing.
Admittedly that suggestion will never be realized, at any rate its way into the future so let’s start today with ourselves. We can transform our own little vicinity, our homes and circle of friendships and networks by adopting the love of Jesus and showing that to somebody, maybe they too will catch the fire.
Today let us start by loving ourselves the way we are. Say to yourself if you will,
\"I am beautifully and wonderfully made\" - Psalm 139:14
Now hold unto that thought for the rest of the day.

James 5:13 (New Living Translation)
13 Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises.
Good day and I wish this devotional finds you souring higher and higher in the Lord. The supremacy of prayer is reinforced in this scripture.
When we face any decision or difficulty the most effective weapon is prayer. Nothing can take the place of supernatural effectiveness and this is invoked through prayer.
It is the way we release our faith and connect with the kingdom of God. Worry does little, talking about problems can bring some relief but it does not lift the burden nor change the situation; prayer can.
In many countries statistics show that Christians are spending less and less time in prayer. Happiness come after prayer, joy comes after prayer, strength comes when we pray.
Let us continue to cherish the thing that has the most value. God has given us this gift and though we may not know how it works he has promised to keep his ears attentive, are you speaking into it in faith and trust.
Remain Blessed

Are You Struggling Financially? (2)
Thursday, 17 September 2015
'...all these things shall be added unto you.' Matthew 6:33 KJV
Pray: ‘Heavenly Father, Your Word says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” You are well able to take care of my financial situation; You know what needs to be done. Direct my steps (Proverbs 3:5–6). Help me to remember that Your resources are meant to flow freely from the place of abundance to the place of need (2 Corinthians 8:14). I believe You have a financial plan for my life, and when fear of the future threatens to overwhelm me, I will hope continually and praise You more and more (Psalms 71:14). As You walk with me through this crisis and I stay focused on You, You promised to keep me in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Forgive me for worrying. I cast all my cares on You right now (1 Peter 5:7)… I don’t have to bear these burdens on my own… I lay them down and receive Your divine rest (Matthew 11:28). You promised to supply all my needs (Philippians 4:19); that it’s Your good pleasure to give me the blessings and benefits of Your Kingdom (Luke 12:32). You told me not to worry about anything and instead make my requests known to You with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6–7). I know You’ll take care of tomorrow because You’re Jehovah–Jireh, my provider (Matthew 6:34). You know what I need and when I need it… You’re the God of more than enough (Ephesians 3:20). Thank You for meeting my every need, and for the sense of peace and security You’re imparting to me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.’

A GENUINE CALL FOR HELP!!!
Good morning friends and family. I trust you are all well. I am here again, one more time appealing for help. Utibe Nta nee Otu-Udofa from FGGC Calabar set of 91 is extremely ill and needs our help. She went for a short holiday and what was to be a memorable event has turned out to be a series of medical catastrophes. Utibe slumped in the train and fortunately found help on time. She was rushed to the hospital. Initial medical tests revield she had three blood clots to both lung and one travelling to her heart. CT scans revealed two massive growths in her abdomen, on further investigation the medical experts concluded she has early stages of uterine ,ovarian cancer and fibroids. They are doing their best to stabilise her before surgery as lungs and heart require 2-3 to recover as she cannot go under general anaesthetic due to the clots. The Cancer is in its early stages so her survival chances is very high as it was detected early. She requires about £50,000 to cover all medical expenses. She has been advised against air travel because of cabin pressure but if she insists she would require medical evacuation back to Nigeria where she should be received by a full medical team. I don't think this is a good option. I saw God move in baby Edosa's case. He will yet arise in Utibe's case. I kindly ask that you join us in prayers and in contributions to help Utibe prolong her life. For donations in Naira: GTB, Account name: Esther Solomon

For whom the son has set free is free indeed.
Last night I had a dream I would like to share. There was a man in my dream that made an error of judgement and committed adultery with his brother’s wife.
Straight away after the episode he was raked with such strong feeling of guilt, so strong that he could not even look his brother in the eye anymore. To shake his brother’s hand he would have to be looking at the floor. His brother probably knew what had happened but choose to forgive him as he could see the hurting inside him.
Unfortunately as time went on the guilt only got worse for his brother and he would get so low at times that he would break out crying. Eventually the guilt got so bad that he decided to take his own life, which he unfortunately did.
Perhaps you are wrestling with guilt today, remember that Jesus completely forgave that woman caught in the act of adultery in John chapter 8.
Whatever be the guilt, Jesus is waiting to set you free from it. His blood shed on the cross has paid the price for your sin, simply receive his sacrifice and live in it. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
The condemnation is coming from the spirit of the devil to destroy your life, don’t let it. Let go of the guilt, repent and receive the pardon and grace of God.
Punishing yourself does more harm and achieves nothing.
Remain Blessed.
