In addition to keeping children physically safe and active during this COVID -19 pandemic, it is also important to care for their emotional health.
Children's responses to stressful events are unique and varied. Some children may be irritable or clingy, and some may regress, demand extra attention or have difficulty with self- care, sleeping and eating. New and challenging behaviours are natural responses, and parents can help by showing empathy, patience and calmly setting limits when needed.
The primary factor in recovery from a stressful event is the presence of a supportive and caring adult in a child’s life, adults who can offer them consistent, sensitive care that helps protect them from a pandemic harmful effects.

Cathy Nutbrown. At Adorable Treasures' Creche & After School, we build strong, smart and godly kids; affording every child the opportunity to develop according to his/ her own needs and ability.

You can have a look at what our kindergraders were busy doing last week, our children finds the "Animal" theme quite interesting and this was expressed in their crafts.

This week, our children learnt about Animal habit and they are now aware that an animal that lives in water is called an Aquatic animal hence we made these shark(s) and dolphin(s) as examples of animals that live in water.

Our kindergraders had so much fun with our Christmas theme, lots of playful learning and fun activities to build their little hands for fine motor skills. There you go........... four (4) fun activities for Christmas.

Vegetables are so cool when you can play with them, create with them and of course eat them!
You can teach your kids to love vegetables one way or another.
Our 3 year olds has learnt to love veggies after doing this super cool vegetable activity.
The table is set, what a scrumptious vegetable salad we've got here.

The theme topic for our Nursery 1 treasures is "Staying healthy ". They learnt that eating vegetables helps our body stay healthy and free from germs and diseases. Hence, our children made "A mushroom craft", which is an example of a vegetable.

It's the last quarter of the year and we are giving thanks to God for a fruitful year.
Our children made "A Thanksgiving craft", showing we are thankful for life, Mum & Dad and for food & water.

One of the best ways to be prepared for the weather is to know what type of clothes to wear to stay warm.This clothing lesson is a great start to help our children know how to dress up for the weather. Our children had a good time making their fun art project on the topic (Clothes we wear to keep warm) whilst improving their fine motor skills.

Love is important in our daily lives. Our kindergraders made ' A heart shaped craft', which is the symbol of love. We are learning the essence of love and ways to show it, such as: by sharing, taking turns and helping others
