“Young Teachers: The future of the Profession.” That's the theme for World Teacher's Day 2019.

"Without a new generation of motivated teachers wanting to make a difference, the global commitment to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” is clearly under threat.

According to UNESCO Institute of Statistics Fact Sheet OCTOBER 2016, the World needs almost 69 million new teachers to reach the 2030 SDG Goal 4, education targets.

Of this number, 48.6 million new recruits will be needed to replace those who are to leave the profession either through retirement or voluntarily. In South and West Asia, and in sub-Saharan Africa in particular, acute shortages exist."

Believe me when I say not every HUMAN BEING knows what BEING HUMAN means.

I am she that believes in preserving humanity and that is why I will deliberately and intentionally teach my children, my students, my colleagues and those that cross my path, that the world can and will be a better place if only we begin to acknowledge that DIVERSITY CANNOT BE ERADICATED NEITHER CAN MIGRATION BE ELIMINATED.

I said a prayer, Lord, how I wish to have such a vibrant and beautiful person anchor the AF'STEP. I am sure we can't afford her.

I thought of putting a notice for a Master of Ceremony. I did put out a post asking people to call if interested.

The first phone call was from Temitope Ogunniyi.....

My first time speaking with her... we were both screaming so hard on the phone like old friends... the rest was history....
