Do not endanger yourself in pursuit of what you do not have. What you possess, however little, may be far more valuable than what you are yearning for.
No human being achieves his goals in complete isolation. We are created for interaction, cooperation, and mutual support. Yet, not every withdrawal from people is isolation.
A wise saying is not a sacred revelation; it is a thought, an insight, or an idea. It may be useful or useless, sound or flawed. Wisdom lies in discerning what is beneficial and choosing what is best.
The word “isolation” carries both denotative and connotative meanings. In one sense, isolation may signify turning back to Allah, the Exalted, especially when confronted with the inhumanity, corruption, or moral decline of others. In another sense, distancing oneself from certain people is not necessarily isolation; it may simply be prudence, self-preservation, and wise caution.
Indeed, there are moments when keeping one's distance is not a rejection of humanity but a protection of one's humanity - for prevention is often better than cure.
