Recently, I was privileged to spend a whole day with about 200 employees of Edo State Government, talking to them about mastery over self and in the workplace. These talented and highly motivated young Nigerians are making the transition from private sector to the public sector. I was very impressed with the training program set up for them which ran into weeks. I found out later that the Edo State Head of Service had slipped in incognito and had sat through my morning session to check that his people received top quality training. Kudos to him and to His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki, for raising the standard for training and leadership development in government.

I told the highly engaged group of training participants that about thirty years ago, only blue chip multinationals invested in such high quality induction programs for their employees. Some twenty years ago or so, new generation banks began running similar programs and recently, large local conglomerates and new generation companies joined the drive to raise leaders with strong values and principles who will build enduring institutions and will positively influence and transform their communities and the nation.

I feel so grateful to be part of a quiet revolution going on to change the Nigerian public sector narrative. Thank you Kimberly Ryan for the invitation. Nigeria's best days are ahead.

Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications urgently required for leading ISP in Nigeria

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and executing the day to day marketing activities of the organization and long-term marketing strategy for the company. Responsible for defining, developing and implementing winning marketing communications strategies, aimed at increasing sales, maintaining brand loyalty and improving market share, whilst also monitoring brand performance and the competitive market environment

Education & Work Experience
 Bachelor degree in Marketing.
 Minimum of 10 years work experience in a relevant Marketing role.
 Must have experience in an ISP environment be it Corporate or Retail
 Experience in an FMCG will be an added advantage
 Must have either agency side experience or experience managing relationship with Marketing communication agency.
 Affiliation with relevant professional bodies
