Blooming District Pre-Resumption Charge: TG/PS Mr. Olufemi Bamidele Paseda Sets Clear Agenda for Principals Ahead of New Academic Third Term

In a strategic pre-resumption meeting with Principals across Education District IV — the vibrant Blooming District — the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olufemi Bamidele Paseda, delivered a strong and focused charge aimed at raising academic standards, discipline, and overall school performance.

Mr. Paseda charged the Principals to intensify efforts in thoroughly preparing students for the forthcoming WASSCE and NECO SSCE examinations, emphasizing the need for academic excellence, strict discipline, and consistent monitoring to ensure outstanding results.

He further encouraged Principals to proactively expose their students to both local and international competitions. According to him, such exposures will broaden students’ horizons, boost their confidence, sharpen their competitive edge, and further enhance the reputation of schools within the Blooming District.

Additionally, the TG/PS urged Principals to regularly organise orientation programmes for their staff, with particular emphasis on public service rules and the professional ethics of the teaching profession. This, he noted, will promote efficiency, integrity, accountability, and a high sense of responsibility among educators.

Mr. Paseda also advised the Principals to ensure school records are regularly updated and to strengthen security measures across their institutions. He stressed that a safe, secure, and well-organised learning environment is fundamental to effective teaching and learning.

The meeting underscored the Blooming District’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, professional standards, student development, and institutional effectiveness in line with Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda.

Driving Service Excellence: Blooming District Empowers Non-Teaching Staff Through Capacity Building Training

In a strategic move to elevate operational standards and service delivery, Education District IV — the dynamic Blooming District — successfully organised a high-impact capacity-building training for its non-teaching staff, themed “The Service Compliant Non-Teaching Staff.”

Declaring the training open, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olufemi Bamidele Paseda, delivered a powerful address, emphasizing the vital role non-teaching staff play as the indispensable backbone of school operations. He noted that their efficiency, discipline, professionalism, and adherence to public service rules directly influence the quality of teaching and learning across the district.

Mr. Paseda urged participants to fully maximize the training opportunity to sharpen their skills, improve their attitude to work, and cultivate a culture of excellence. He reaffirmed the Lagos State Government’s strong commitment to continuous capacity development for all categories of staff, in line with global best practices and the transformative vision of His Excellency Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda.

The training was expertly facilitated by Mrs. Oluwabukola Olagbaju from the Lagos State Ministry of Establishment and Training. She delivered an insightful, practical, and engaging session on workplace ethics, effective communication, service compliance, and professional conduct. From sweeping compounds to clearing drainages and ensuring every corner sparkled, this wasn't just another sanitation day — it was a powerful statement: A clean environment breeds academic excellence!
