We are delighted to celebrate one of our very own for an outstanding debut in competitive chess!

After just a few months of dedicated training in our Chess Club, our young champion proudly represented the school in the JCI Lagos Coral Heroes Chess Tournament 3.0, competing in the Under-8 category. The tournament featured a 6-round Swiss individual format with a 10+5 rapid time control, providing an exciting platform for young talents to showcase their skills.

In his very first chess tournament, he demonstrated remarkable courage, focus, and resilience, finishing with an impressive 3 out of 6 points. He won all his games as White, gained invaluable tournament experience, achieved a commendable performance rating, and proudly earned his Certificate of Participation.

We are incredibly proud of his determination and growth. His achievement within a few months of enrolling in our Chess Club is a testament to the power of perseverance, preparation, and a willingness to embrace new challenges.

Congratulations on this wonderful milestone! We look forward to celebrating many more successes in future tournaments and beyond. May this be the beginning of an exciting journey of excellence, confidence, and lifelong achievement.
