We are hosting the popular Kinki, The Wise Turtle for our children, it's gonna be fun!

Our children are marvelous. They have gone from creating calculator, clock and game with coding to creating a calendar, full calendar.

She calls herself Bint al Aswad, (the African Girl), but her real name is Mutmainah Sheriff-Balogun.

She loves building with codes.

CAN YOU THINK OF ONE?

I travelled last week and returned this Thursday only to discover my daughter has turned more creative

I had spent some few times to show her how to create a clock and a calculator using codes

She was the first to create her own clock, although her younger sister created the calculator before her

She and her sister motivated other students in their classes to start creating too, after all, if the two sisters could create, everyone should do.

All through my stay at travel, I was busy thinking what else could I make these girls build with codes

Getting them to build continuously will surely open more opportunities for me because I will be able to show you, and convince you on, how easy it could be for children to code

Tried as I could, I was unable to think of what else to code, so, I gave up

"Sweetheart, play this game, let me see what you will score,"

I collected my wife's phone and started playing the game, I didn't know it was a game built by my Princess.

I was so happy that I couldn't contain the joy

So, I decided to tell you about it

I want to start thinking of more children friendly apps I could help her and her classmates build through coding

She called me and said she was through with her first project

She wrote a code to introduce her school and embedded a picture of the school.

Parents, please make sure your child's school is giving the child a coding lesson
