I once heard a person say that the best way to get noticed is to set oneself on fire. One may wonder what on earth will make a person carry such a risky adventure.What could compel a person to go extra mile and do whatever it takes to get him or her noticed? The answer is no other but PASSION. Passion sets apart, differentiates two people both of whom desire success.Your passion for your dream is what makes you resilient even after failing several times.
I am not surprised that most of the names on the walls of fame and inventions stardom are names of people who were passionate about their dreams.First on my list is the quintessential and iconic inventor, Thomas Edison who was regarded as "too stupid to learn anything." He was fired from his first two jobs for being "non-productive." As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb but never stopped until he broke through.
Second on the list is Edmund Hilary and Sherpa Tenzing who made a risky dream to get to the summit of Mount Everest that most people regarded as an impossible task. Some that attempted the mission never returned with the glory.They were not discourage by the situation surrounding them.They were passionate about their dreams and on May 29, 1953 they got their names in the book of history with their invaluable expedition.
Similarly is the story of the Wright brothers, Orvelle and Wilbour who accomplished a task that a vast majority regarded as impossible.They both invented the aircraft that the world celebrate today.Passion breeds creativity and creativity breeds invention.The power of passion cannot be overemphasized.Passionate people fill their spirit with so much enthusiasm that they reach their goals without looking sideways.
In a nutshell, it does not matter how much you have failed in that career path or examination or you are beginning to think that your numerous failures may never make you actualize that dream career or academic success. Refill your passion with great sense of confidence and determination.
