Oftentimes the battle against ignorance is stronger than the battle against our adversary. I've seen people say "the devil is a liar" over a situation when the actual issue is denial; denial that they don't know as much as they think they know. The scripture is clear, it's not only the adversary that resists God's people, lack of knowledge also does. In fact, the resistance of lack of knowledge is destructive. It's destructive because we blame the devil while the situation keeps escalating.

Let me show you how to respond when challenged:

1. Declare God's mercy over yourself, your family or the situation. Genesis to Revelation reveals that God would always have mercy if we ask.

2. Meditate on God's promises to you or your convictions from scriptures. Once you're able to find a word, then there shall be a reward, and your expectation shall not be cut off.

3. Ask the Holy Spirit to help and guide you in your decisions and actions. Remember that He's both our Helper and Comforter.

4. Be calm and be at peace. This would allow you stay sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is doing and how He may be guiding or leading you.

5. Be strong and of good courage. Because the solution may require you to go through fire. It may also not be solved exactly how you want it, but there shall be a reward, and your expectation shall not be cut off.

Notice that I've not mentioned the devil in all of these. That's because mentioning him in the challenges of my life will give him unnecessary credit. It's me, God, and the situation. The devil isn't part of that equation.

Wow! God's ways are truly higher than our ways...

So, today is Daniella's 3rd birthday celebration. For those of you who may not know, Daniella is my second daughter. As a dad, I'm expected to wake up in the morning, pray for her, and prepare to host a children party for her. But God had a different plan.

My wife woke me up around 2am today, she's been carrying our third child in the womb for 9 months, and we've been expecting the child for almost 2 weeks. Her water had broken, I drove her to the hospital, and to the glory of God, we've welcomed Noah into this world.

While I was pondering on which one to share, I thought it would be better to do a collaborated post.

We love you both.

Surprisingly, I once fantasized about having kids that have the same birthday. Now that it has happened, I'm not even sure why I had that fantasy😂. But I'm grateful to God who is able to do both what we ask or what we think.

Finally, congrats to all of us for this addition, especially to everyone who may be trusting God for a child. I know that 9 months will not pass until God visits you with your own! Congratulations again and again!
