Government College, Agege is a Single S*x Girls School established in 1974 by the Lagos State Military Administrator, Brigadier Mobolaji Johnson.

The school is located at Ile Jide Bus Stop along Old Ipaja Road, Agege, Lagos.

Seedtime Foundation is a Nigerian charity organization established in November 2011 to support the educational advancement of indigent children. Their mission revolves around educating, nurturing, and empowering these children to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Seedtime Foundation has been involved with Government Senior College, Agege, in several initiatives aimed at empowering young girls and promoting educational advancement. Some of their notable involvements include:

The Blossom Initiative: Launched in June 2021, this program shortlisted ten girls from Government Senior College, Agege, for a pilot scheme. The initiative includes a 3-week capacity-building program that covers topics such as entrepreneurship, leadership, coding, and presentation skills.

Capacity Building Program: The foundation's Executive Director, Mrs. Adetola Oladeji, highlighted their commitment to enriching children's lives through various projects and programs during a capacity-building session for students at Government Senior College, Agege.

Empowering Young Girls: Seedtime Foundation's programs focus on providing life skills and support to indigent children, including those at Government Senior College, Agege, to help them thrive in an ever-changing world.

These initiatives demonstrate Seedtime Foundation's commitment to promoting educational excellence and empowering young girls in Government Senior College, Agege.

Exciting News!

Our students and teachers attended the STEM Africa Fest 2025 on Saturday 19th July, 2025 at Landmark Event Centre, Oniru, Lagos, where they explored innovative ideas, networked with industry experts and ignited their passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics!

The students were engaged in exciting activities like coding, robotics, AI Simulations, engineering challenges, knitting with their fingers, all designed to inspire the problem solvers of tomorrow.

This experience will undoubtedly shape their future and inspire them to become the next generation of leaders and innovators. We are grateful to our sponsors and organizers for making this possible!

Presentation showcase of students knowledge on the building of school website before the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education ably represented by the Director, Science and Technology Mrs. Akinfoyewa.

Government Senior College, Agege clinched 1st position while 2nd and 3rd positions went to Gbaja Boys High School, Surulere and Kurano Senior College, Victoria Island respectively.
